View Full Version : HM doesn't import all hands

HI,

I recently moved my database. I re-installed PostGresQL on my new drive, and created a new database to which I'm importing right now. Before that I backed up all hands.

I see some similar posts here, and people are told to create a new database. I could do that, but I'd like to know how to re-import my hands into that new database. Can I do that by backing up and restoring in the PGadmin? 'cause that's what I did the first time. Or do I have to export the individual hands, and reimport them in Holdemmanager?

You have 2 options

1) Backup and Restore

I'm still oblivious as to why my database didn't work correctly, because I opened and restored it as recommended in the FAQ. But it's working now, and I tha nk you for the quick reply.

If you backup a DB which is corrupted, you will restore the corruption when you restore the DB. This is probably what happened. If you export/import, this avoid the problem.
