It worked now when I removed the anti virus program. Which anti virus program do you recommend to not get in trouble with HM?

Got a new problem when I tried to import my db, it only stopped directly after it imported one file out of 2000 and now it stops immidietly. My main harddisc is only 10mb left but I think it should have the output folder set to another hardisc with 200gb. How can I solve this?

AVG is a free anti virus that seems to work with Holdem Manager better.

If you are trying to import many hands break them up into smaller bunches of files.

Ok, it is AVG I have used and it did not work for me. That advice is not helping me I tried import a single file earlier and it did not work either.

You have 10 MB free space on your C:\harddisk?
I think thats the main problem, not the virus scanner.

I tried to download hm with avg free it didnt work. I uninstalled avg and the download was succesful. So probably avg was no good.

I cleared some space so I had 150mb and tried to import, could not import a single file. will hm take more space on C when you set the export folder to another hardrive?

The Avg Free Anti Virus program works well with windows firewall and HM but their AVG Free Internet Security bundle (that includes a firewall) does not work well with HM.

You are going to need to clear more free space before you can export, even if choosing another destination. HM has to create some temp files that will require much more than 150mb space.

First you should move all your original hand history archives off the full hard drive. Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere.

To verify the location: Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: ___________________

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/119/Warning:+You+have+XXX+Hand+History+Files+in+your+A uto+Import+Folders

The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

Then you will need to delete other files/programs from your C ddrive to free up more space. I use a program called windirstat.info to help find big folders and files that I can delete.

Uninstall any unnecessary programs from the windows control panel and empty your recycle bin.

Reinstalling Holdem Manager to a different drive will not help. The PostgreSQL database is what takes up the most space.

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) run the command - start > programs > accessories > command prompt > right-click > run as administrator

net user postgres /delete
4) reboot.
5) Install PostgreSQL 8.4.8 from this link - Download PostgreSQL | EnterpriseDB (http://www.enterprisedb.com/products-services-training/pgdownload#windows)

Now you will be given an option to install PostgreSQL to a different location, and you can even install the \data folder for the database in a separate location.

I done that, installed postgres on G but can still not install HM. Get the postgreserror.jpg error when I tried to unistall. The other picture is when I try to install HM. I tried to be patient with this but now I am starting to get really angry. I hope you have a clear answear that cannot go wrong next time otherwise I would like som Teamviewer help because these problems is costing me too much money.

That is a standard notice every time you uninstall postgresql , not an error. It is telling you it did not delete your actual database (in case you need to reinstall it) so you will have to delete it manually if you dont need it. It is also informing you that you have to use the command line prompt to remove the postgres user.

Are you still using AVG? Is it the Internet Security bundle or the plain AntiVirus? If it is the IS bundle it must be removed.

Many of those free Norton, Mcaffee, Comodo, Zonealarm, etc, 'internet security' bundles will not work well with holdem manager.

Please do the following steps, so we can get your computer to a state that we know will work with Holdem Manager:

1) Uninstall any 3rd party security software bundles.
2) Reboot your computer
3) Please install the latest version: http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe
4) Enable Windows Firewall's recommended settings through your Control Panel.
5) Install Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus/malware protection and update it - http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

Clear your web cache - How do I clear my web browser cache? (http://www.java.com/en/download/help/webcache.xml)

Restart your computer.

Delete any of the old installer downloads of HM and/or Download a new copy of the HM installer, using Right-Click > Save Link As... to pick a new download folder.

If you still are unable to solve it, Please email support@holdemmanager.com, with a link to this thread, and your forum name, so we can schedule a Teamviewer session. Download the Teamviewer Quick Support Module - http://www.holdemmanager.com/teamviewer. Please let us know what time zone you are in and what time/days are convenient for you.

HM now works and I downloaded the new Postgresql to G and HM is set on G. Even when everything should be located at G the HMDB gets created everytime on C:\Users\Danne\AppData\Local\Temp\28e84023-9bf8-40c3-8ac2-7bf7df8e5eb5\dbs.

To move the data folder to G:/

--

The C:\Users\Danne\AppData\Local\Temp\28e84023-9bf8-40c3-8ac2-7bf7df8e5eb5\ folder will be used as a temporary folder if you backup the database. Or perform maintenance on the database.

These folders should be automatically deleted once the backup is finished... or when you reboot the computer.
If the folder isn't you can manually delete it.

Unfortunately it is not possible to make sure PostgreSQL doesn't use ANY temporary folder on C:/ (but uses G:/ instead..) unless you instruct Windows to move the entire temp folder to G:/

Read: "Moving TEMP and TMP Folder" section @ Guide * Windows 7 Ultimate Tweaks & Utilities * (http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/forum/showthread.php?63273-*-Windows-7-Ultimate-Tweaks-amp-Utilities-*&p=442160&viewfull=1#post442160)

It created the files.. when you import....
or when you're creating a backup/restore or vacuum/analyse?

If it's only when you import.. those files should be deleted (and shouldn't get that big... 1 GB max.) when the import is finished.

It is when I import and they get bigger than 1 GB, I think they got about 4gb before the it was full and.

You can delete all temporary files - they are used only when process is doing.
