Hello,

Ive brought a new laptop and started to install TinyXP on this Acer Aspire One 110. Anyways, i then did the following and didnt manage to get HoldEm Manager to work properbly.

1. Installed a image of TinyXP (Rons TinyXP)
2. Installed HoldEm Manager 1.07 and Installed PostgreSQL.
- Error on installing the PostgreSQL since TinyXP runs on FAT32.
- After tryin to start PostgreSQL anyway, i gave up and converted the partion to NTFS.

Now when i start HoldEm Manager it sais, "no database found", create new database.

I Push "Make New Database" and it gives me the message: "Connection establishment timeout. Increase Timeout value in ConnectionString."

3. Tried to reinstall PostgreSQL several times, in diffrent folders.
4. Tried to reinstall HoldEm Manager.

And i still get the same problem.

Do you have any solution for this? Where to start?

Regards
Patrick

What version of PostgreSQL are you using?

This is basically saying it cannot connect to postgreSQL and the vast majority of times its a firewall/antivirus blocking it so try completely uninstalling them and then reinstalling postgreSQL

Thank you for the quick repons.

Im using PostgreSQL 8.3.

Ive now reinstalled windows (new image).

There are no antivirus or firewall started or installed (even disabled Windows Firewall).

Still the same problem when i try to create a Database.

Hello again.

I tried to upgrade to 1.08beta.
Now it has created the database.
Basiclly it seems to work now.
Ill contact you again. Maybe, because this computer isnt the fastest in the world, it was some command you have changed from the 1.07 to 1.08 ?

Ill keep on using the program on the new computer.
If i get into problems again ill contact you! Thank you!
