Hi guys,

I been using Holdem Manager for about a week without any problems, but yesterday during a session HEM suddenly could not connect to 127.0.0.1 and I tried restarting HEM and an error message comes up "The following error occurred when trying to open the database: Failed to establish a connection to '127.0.0.1'. And in the Database Control Panel I tried to connect to my database it still fails "Sorry, Holdem Manager was unable to start the service".

I have reinstalled PostgresQL about 4 times with UAC/all virus scanner/window defender turned off but when I go to control panel/admin tools/services I can see my PostgresQL service stucked at "Starting" status forever, the only way to stop it is to disable it (but it never starts afterwards).

I switched from PokerTracker 3 to HEM because I had similar problems with Postgres now this is still haunting me. I have no idea what to do anymore.

Please help :(

Thanks in advance.

Can you turn the postgreSQL service off, restart your computer, restart it and retry to open HM.

I already formatted my hard drive, does that mean when I register it will use up my 2nd computer key?

Yes, but you can reset your licenses when you want for free by emailing Roy: sales@holdemmanager.net
