Hi,
Purchased HEM yesterday.

Trying to install HEM per the installation guide steps. I have already PT3 w/ pg8.3 installed so I went to install HEM. I followed very closely steps (1-5 several times). Step 5 of the installation is where I'm getting hung up. On this step I run HEM.exe from my desktop (yes extracted) a HEM box appears however step 6 states that if there is a a poker client to click the OK button--this never comes up. Another box/window opens that says "validating HEM 1.07" If I hit the "try" button on the main HEM window I get the following error pop up:

DBControlPanel.exe application error
Application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b). click ok to terminate

Not sure why this is happening, I do have PT3 w/ postgress 8.3 already is there a confilct? are there different steps to take in this case?

Perused your forums for an hour or two and haven't had much luck.

Thanks in advance for any insight!

Can you upgrade HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Hm1.08Beta.exe

And tell me if it persists.

followed the process outlined. same results...verifying box stays open and if I click "try" button in the HEM box i get the "application failed to initialize" pop up and then the whole thing oborts when I hit ok.

Not sure what else to do now. did try surfing through forum for similar problem uninstall/reinstall as mentioned in some threads for a few hours. Would like to use the product, actually paid for it already, if I figure out how to get it going.

PT3 works fine with PG already installed on my machine, is there any thing I might need to change in way of settings ect there that might be causing this?
