Hello,

I am used to Pokertracker so fare, but are not completly satisfied. Now I want to give HM a try. I installed the software and now I have a question. I am asked about where to find the database. Here are my questions.

1.Should I configuere it, so HM can use the same Databases as PT?
2.How can I do it?
3.Can this cause problems for PT to run?
4.Should I change anything regarding servername, password, portnumber?
5.If so: Where do I find the Password.

Thanks for the support.

1) No, create a new database and then follow the FAQs below to import your PT hands as the PT database is a different format to HM

2)
PT2 http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=62
PT3 http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=63

3) No although since both HM and PT archive files after there imported having them running siultaneously may cause one of them to miss importing a hand because they move the file before the other one can import it. In this case you could do manual import from the archive folder to pickup mixed hands but its not recommneded to use both program simulataneously. Also increasing the archive duration http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=175 or disabling archiving in PT could make them work if you really want it to

4) Port should 5432 server 127.0.0.1 and your username and password will be whatever you specified yourself when setting up PostgreSQL, if your using postgreSQL you installed with PT then it will be the same username and password you use for PT

5) See 4 but we also have a system in place if you cant remember your username and password, if you press connect and get it wrong it will ask you do you want HM to configure it to use any username or password, select Yes and then press connect again and it will accept any password. If it dosent then most likley UAC is enabled so disable it http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=73
