Hello,
I have used HEM for PokerStars for quite a while and everything was normal. But for the last 4 days my cash results started to differ. I have played a session today and according to HEM I am +$0.74. But PS Cashier shows I have lost $10. I use the latest version of HEM. What can be the reason for that?

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Please update to the latest release .06d, if yours is an older version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

Make sure the hand histories and poker client are in English. Set your Windows Regional and Language Settings to English (US). Restart your PC.

*If that doesn't help, your database could have become corrupt.

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+%7B47%7D+Delete+Database
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/98/How+to+Import+%26+Export+Hands
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.
*Make sure you export/backup everything before deleting the old DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/372/Reinstalling+on+a+new+PC+-+Backup+Tips

If your results are still inaccurate, please send us a sample of hands to test so we can compare results. Please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread, to support@holdemmanager.com

Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere.

To verify the location: Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: ___________________

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/119/Warning:+You+have+XXX+Hand+History+Files+in+your+A uto+Import+Folders

The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

Hello,
Have sent you a sample of hands from another e-mail. Have you received it or shall I send again?

Hello,
Have sent you a sample of hands from another e-mail. Have you received it or shall I send again?

I really can't say for sure because I don't know what email you sent them from. If you had used the same email address I could search for your email address in the forums, and then search our email system for the hands. I will need you to PM me the details of the other email address so i can search for your email/hands to determine the status.

I do not see any emails in our system from the email address associated with this forum account. Can you please try to zip and upload them to a free hosting site like yousendit.com, or megaupload, and then send me the link via PM?

Yes, I will test it this afternoon and post my results here. I will edit out your screen name, etc. Normally I would email them but you are obviously having issues with the emails.

.... I have played a session today and according to HEM I am +$0.74. But PS Cashier shows I have lost $10. I use the latest version of HEM. What can be the reason for that?

I don't see any session for +0.74. My results are attached.

Are these the same results you got? What if you create a new database and import only these hands you sent me? Can you point out any individual hands you think were calculated incorrectly?

Thanks for your assistance. Can you please check again two first sessions (+$4,16 and -$3,42). It's these two sessions that make +$0,74, but according to PokerStars the result was -$10.
Thanks in advance,

I seem to have understood my issue. I have played a session today and ordered PS Instant History. HEM shows I have played 183 hands while HH has recorded 198. These 15 lost hands make the difference. They are neither starting hands nor final ones (somewhere in the middle). What might be the reason for that loss? What can be done to prevent it further on?
Thanks in advance,

Where do you have pokerstars writing the hands? If you use vista/w7 and chose to record them under C:\Program Files... instead of the default path of C:\Users\Username\App data\Local\.. it may not be writing all of the hands because of windows permissions.

Setup the pokerstars hands according to our FAQ - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/6/Poker+Stars+Setup

Please give HoldemManager Administrator rights -

1) Go to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)
2) Right-click the HoldemManager.exe and choose "Properties".
3) Go to the Compatibility Tab and select "Run this program as an Administrator".
4) Do the same for HMHud.exe and DBControlPanel.exe

Do the same for PokerStars.exe.

If you continue to have problems please answer my questions from above about OS/AntiVirus/Firewall and attach your holdemmanager.config and prefs.xml file from C:\Program Files(x86)\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config. If your extensions are off you'll just see a file called holdemmanager and prefs. Windows hides 'known file extensions' by default. Configuring Windows To Show Extensions :: Scott Granneman (http://www.granneman.com/techinfo/windows/showextensions/)

You need to request and import any/all your tournament histories and import those to HM. Stars did not write the tourney summaries to your hard drive in the past, like FTP did. They recently added this feature, so please enable the option in the PokerStars client and add the folder to your Auto Import Folder Configuration.

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/6/Poker+Stars+Setup

Email support@pokerstars.com and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Histories/Results.

They will send you an email with links to zip files of your hand histories. Download all the zip files. Right-Click > Extract the contents of each zip file to a new folder. HM > Import From Folder for all of the unzipped hands.

The tournament summaries should be attached to the email as .htm files. Download the attachments. HM > Import File(s) for all of those files. It will probably ask you to search/select your Pokerstars screen name. If the files are sent as .html you will need to rename them (Right-Click > Rename) from .html to .htm extensions.

The issues is still not solved. I use Windows7, AVG antivirus and firewall.
Attaching the files you asked in a PM. Hope it will help us.

As it turned out PM doesn't support attached files. Shall I attach holdemmanager.config and prefs.xml here?

Best if you email them as the config file may contain your screen name and other info you want private. Please zip and email them, with a link to this thread, to support@holdemmanager.com
