Please follow the instructions for uninstalling and reinstalling .net framework here: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=14

If the problem persists uninstall and reinstall PostgreSQL aswell http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=177

Can you follow these instructions:

1) Make a backup of your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder
2) Uninstall HM via the Control Panel
3) Go to Program Files and delete the RVG Software directory, or the equivalent for Vista
4) Reboot your computer
5) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/holdemmanager.zip
7) Download the latest patch HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Hm1.08Beta.exe
8) Test if it for a while and see if it work
9) Close down Holdem Manager and copy the "holdemmanager.config" file which can be found in the backed up config folder from step 1 and copy and overwrite it to your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder
10) Test if it works again for a while

If you open the following file:

C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\DBControlPanel.exe does it allow you to create a new database http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=146

Directly not, but you can Extract/Import: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=173

Directly not, but you can Extract/Import: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=173

well I can't export the database that can't be accessed by HM .... so really this doesn't help me. I can't do a backup through PGadmin either.

The only files I see are the ones in the folder C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.3\data\base ..... is there anyway to import those files ????

Sorry the database is too badly corrupted, your only option is to import the original or archived hands

I was afraid of that .... is there a default folder that the imported hands would be transferred to ???

I don't remember setting one up ...

thanks ... I"m having a hard time deleting the corrupt database via PGAdmin ...

should I just delete the database folder ... ie 5777 inside C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.3\data\base and then delete the database via PQadmin

Defintely dont delete anything in the data folder, does this not delete the database http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=21

Ok im not sure of any other way to delete it, maybe try posting on the PostgreSQL forums to see if theyve any suggestions or you could backup your current database, uninstall postgreSQL, delete the PostgreSQL forum, reinstall postgreSQL and then restore the database and the old one will be gone

I was afraid that maybe the only answer ... backup reinstall and re-import

HM is great program but this is a royal PITA

I have this same problem, but it only occurs some of the time (maybe 20-30%).

Is my database potentially corrupted, or is it a different problem?

EDIT: By fatal error I mean Blue Screen of Death.
