Little confused about how notes work

So I imported all my stars notes in HM a few days ago and today I played a tournament and had a player at my table that I had a stars note on from a 100k I played ages ago (so I was 100% positive the note wasn't new), however there was no HM note on him. I'm not sure if thats a bug or it was intended in some way?

Was this player in your HM database before you saw him in the tourney? If not then it wouldn't have been able to attach the note to him.

Ah thank you, I didn't import any old mtt hands, so it makes sense that it wasn't there.

Did you ever give any consideration to creating a player entry just for the note when importing them? I could even imagine a manual option to create a player and then add notes could come in handy (a la FT where you search for a player and then can take notes).
