Hi, I followed the instructions on how to put your db on an external Hard drive so you can use your database on another pc. I went back into the control panel, administrative tools, services and started PostgreSQL. After reopening Holdem Manager I received this error: Failed to establish a connection to '127.0.0.1" (click link to see screenshot after I try to connect):

What can I do to fix this?

Looks like its missing a file. if you go to C:/Program Files/PostgreSQL/8.3/Data and do you see a pg_hba.conf file there?

Hey, I just checked and the file is there... I still have the problem though. If I were to reinstall PostgreSQL would I be able to recover my database?

Yeah try uninstalling it via this FAQ which will reattach it to the database http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=98

Ok, but the problem is not with HEM, it is with Postgre. I get this following message when trying to connect:

Now if I reinstal Postgre, how do I make sure I don't lose my database..

Ok, so all I did was uninstall PostgreSQL and reinstall it. This happened to fix the problem. Thanks for your help.
