Yesterday HM worked great but today nothing happens when I try to start it, not even an error message.

I followed this guide http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showthread.php?t=6698.

UAC is turned off.
I can start pgAdmin III and connect to my database, so nothing wrong with postgres I suppose?

When I look in the task manager when I try to start it, HM comes up in the task manager for about 2 seconds and then disappears.

Everything else on the computer works great and normally.

I also downloaded some kind of software that tests if 2.0 and 3.5 .net framework works and it told me it worked...

Please follow the instructions for uninstalling and reinstalling .net framework here: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=14

If the problem persists uninstall and reinstall PostgreSQL aswell http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=177

Can you follow these instructions:

1) Make a backup of your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder
2) Uninstall HM via the Control Panel
3) Go to Program Files and delete the RVG Software directory, or the equivalent for Vista
4) Reboot your computer
5) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/holdemmanager.zip
7) Download the latest patch HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate1.08beta.exe
8) Test if it for a while and see if it work
9) Close down Holdem Manager and copy the "holdemmanager.config" file which can be found in the backed up config folder from step 1 and copy and overwrite it to your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder
10) Test if it works again for a while

I know something told you .net works fine but just to be sure do that

Sorry missed that, can you go to Control Panel > Admin Tools > Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Applications and see if there is any errors or information that correspond to the time you try to run HM and post and info or error details it shows

I can't find any errors or info from the times I've tried to start HM.
The only error I could find was:

"Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected."

btw, now I also found a couple of these in the log:

"PostgreSQL

could not create inherited socket: error code 10022 "

But that was before holdemmanager stopped working...
