There an x64 version of HEM for Win XP x64? Or just the usual exe?

EDIT: Forget the x64, scroll down to post #4 or so for the loading problem descrip.

The usual works just fine on x64.

I just installed and it doesn't work. It gets to the "HEM has found folders where your HH might be saved" (first run text pop up) overlayed on the HEM logo as it loads, but when I click 'okay' HEM just disappears. Doesn't load up to its GUI. The process closes too.

I doubt that is happening b/c the OS is x64.

All I can recommend is that make sure your account in XP is an administrator account. I've never had this problem so I can't offer any advice but I'm sure someone else can once they read this. Maybe try changing the post title if you can, it is a bit misleading. Something like HEM disappears after loading.

It is administrator. I have also tried it while my firewall is disabled (it blocks program interactions too).

Can you try reinstalling .net framework for 64bit XP and also completely uninstall any antiviruses/firewalls other than the built in windows firewall

Hi, update. I reformatted my drive and re-installed XP 64. The problem has changed with respect to HEM, its now giving an error on start up that says "The application has failed to initialize properly (oxc000007b)." This apparently has to do with .NET framework but I've installed up to .NET 3.5 SP1. My BF2 install still has the same problem of disappearing process though...

Note I think the original problem had to do with comodo anti-virus. I haven't installed it on this new OS install though.

edit: i have scanned for viruses and have checked that .NET 3.5 SP1 is installed.
