It only works when I restart my PC. I'm running XP, and the latest non-beta version of HEM.

When I try to start the program it tells me:

Error: Connection establishment timeout. Timeout value in connection string.

I also get the same error after I've been playing for a while and importing hands, then stop the import, and want to go to the Cash Game table.

Same error:

Error: Connection establishment timeout. Timeout value in connection string.

I read through the FAQ and tried to get rid of the firewall and allow the program and do all that stuff. Still doesn't work.

help?

Theres an update Microsoft released for Microsoft.net framework 3.5 and
when you install it and reboot you just keep getting the database
transport connection error, occassionaly you can bypass but youll
continue to get it while running reports. The update is called Hotfix
for Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5SP1 (KB5958484).

If youve already installed it you need to uninstall it and reboot and it
should be fine then. Instructions below:
Go to Control Panel > Programs & Features and on the left hand menu you
should see a "View Installed Updates"
If you already see the Installed on Column then click to view the latest
installs and look for the update called Hotfix for Microsoft .Net
Framework 3.5SP1 (KB5958484) and uninstall it and reboot the PC. If you
dont see the installed on column right click on the column header and
select Installed on.

I checked and I do not have this installed. I have .net framework 2.0 and a bunch of updates to it. Any other ways to fix this?

I'm running Windows XP.

Can you uninstall .net framework 2 and then install this version http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=14 and if the problem persists try the latest beta and see if it persists http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Hm1.08Beta.exe as that Beta is very stable

I have the same problem. The thing is that I know that net framework 3.5 was installed but I can't find it in Control Panel. That update is not shoving.
So does anybody know a different way to uninstall that update?

EDIT:
Never mind fixed it!!
