View Full Version : Error message with Table Manager

Hi, I hope this is the right place to post this, but I came across an error when trying to get the HUD working for Betfair software.

Just for the record, i don't know if it matters but I got Table Manager '1.6.4rc10' and run vista.

I get the following error after I have tried to 'find' the table with that red square in 'table finder'.

Anyway, after I run HMHud.exe as administrator nothing happens and this screen, including the table manager won't go away.

Could anyone help me get my HUD on betfair ?

Edit: I just noticed it will go away after I close the tables I'm playing on, which is strange, because it does not recognise the tables it self so it seems.

Please follow the instructions for uninstalling and reinstalling .net framework here: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=14

If the problem persists uninstall and reinstall PostgreSQL aswell http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=177

Can you follow these instructions:

1) Make a backup of your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder
2) Uninstall HM via the Control Panel
3) Go to Program Files and delete the RVG Software directory, or the equivalent for Vista
4) Reboot your computer
5) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/holdemmanager.zip
7) Download the latest patch HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate1.08beta.exe
8) Test if it for a while and see if it work
9) Close down Holdem Manager and copy the "holdemmanager.config" file which can be found in the backed up config folder from step 1 and copy and overwrite it to your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder
10) Test if it works again for a while

Hey, I have tried this a few days after you replied and it didn't work. Because I couldn't be bothered I didnt reinstall PostgreSQL.

So today I wanted to try to fix it again. I did everything you posted. And reinstalled PostgreSQL. But now, holdem manager give me a database error.

The error is:

The following error occured when trying to open the database: Failed to establish a connection to '127.0.0.1'.

Then when I click OK

Then I get the following message

Holdem Manager has determined that you are running Windows Vista. In order to have Holdem Manager run well you should disable User Acces Control in your Control Panel - Users section. This is needed in order to properly intall Postgre

When I click OK again. The Database control panel pops up.

There I have to enter the Server name: Which is put at 127.0.0.1
Port Number is 5432
and then my login name and password.

When I press connect it says:

A connection to PostgreSQL could not be made. Would you like to have Holdem Manager attempt to start the service

Then I press yes and it says

Sorry, Holdem Manager was unable to start the service

and then when I press OK it says

Holdem Manager has started the service. Please try again

and nothing happens. I can't start up HM anymore :(

How can I fix this ?
