I had a virus on my computer which i was able to get rid of but now i am getting this error message. when i press ok, the connect to postgresql screen comes up(where it has servername, login name, port number and pw). if i press connect and hit click YES on the would you like to have holdem manager attempt to start the service it says holdem manager was unable to start the service. when i try to stop the server and start it back again, it doesn't do anything. it's probably a simple solution but i can't get it. i have upgraded to the newest version as well.

should i just try uninstalling and reinstalling everything? perhaps when i uninstall postgres it's not getting it all. i installed the 8.39 version and for some reason it's not even in my start menu, where typically i'd go to do the stop service/start service stuff when needed

Access denied: Under Vista and Windows 7 make sure that holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe and dbcontrolpanel.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the holdemmanager.exe, dbcontrolpanel.exe and the hmhud.exe executable and select "Run as admin" from the popup menu under compatibility tab.

But its probably a good idea to reinstall everything. You can try to uninstall Postgresql via revo http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/126/Using+Revo+Uninstaller+

Or you can try to download and install Postgresql 8.4 from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database (http://www.postgresql.org) and install it separately on port 5433. After successful completion you may delete Postgresql 8.3.x manually.
