Playing on which site?
If PokerStars:

You need to request and import any/all your tournament histories and import those to HM.

Pokerstars > Lobby > Requests > Tournament History .. > 200

Read the tournament summary section @ http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/6/PokerStarsSetup

Pat is not talking about the hands, he means the summaries:

You have to request tournament summaries manually: Pokerstars > Requests > Tournament Histories...
and import the data from the mail: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/117/Import+Emailed+Hand+Histories+

Then import them manually to HM.

Stars now supports the automatic writing of summaries: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/441/Poker+Stars+Tournament+Summary+Setup

PokerStars, doesn't write the bounty info to the summary file?

Do they write it to the handhistory file if you collect a bounty?
If they do, can you email us a summary file + handhistory file to support@holdemmanager.com

Actually they don’t and I contacted the PS and they said that that they do not write the bounty’s on the summary. Is it really impossible to calculate the ROI of knockout tourneys with HM?

If PokerStars doesn't write the info anywhere, HoldemManager can't detect it.

Though there is another issue: on Full Tilt, if you play a knockout tourney, HoldemManager can detect it. (since Full Tilt writes the info to the summary file).. but I'm unsure if the KO results are actually used towards your ROI correctly.

You could be right, only the prize pool money won is used for this.
So if you play a $24 MTT. ($4 for a knockout)--> and you have 6 knockouts (=$24), and then finish out of the money--> HoldemManager will display your ROI = -100%.

That is not right, Pat.
PokerStars writes the bounty almost correctly in the HHxxx.txt -files.
The only bounty missing in .txt is your own one if you win the Tourney.

HM seems to add the bounties still wrong for PS-KOs. And that happens in different ways:

For example in a tourney ended 1st, I eliminated three villains. So I got four bounties, but HM only detected two of them.
When a tourney is not ended in 1st, HM seems to add no bounties at all to the $ Won.
