I've been using Holdem Manager for quite a while now, and the free space on my hard disk is running back with gigabytes! i used the 'purge' option to clean up my database, but while it says to have deleted like 3/4 of my hands I only get a few megabytes of free space on my harddisk...

can anyone help?

You have to vacuum your DB to reclaim the space after a purge.

Furthermore, you can also delete every files in the pg_log folder in postgreSQL.

thanks, the vacuum didnt help a lot, but the "PostgreSQL\8.3\data\pg_log" folder uses a lot of space.
i can delete everything in it, without losing stats/information or anything?

Related question: Is there a way to turn off the logging? Is it not recommended to turn it off for some reason?

Yeah, there is an explanation how to do it on the monster Holdem Manager 2+2 thread, try searching that or the postgreSQL forums or googling it, i cant find the link for it myself
