Hi,

Having recently purchased and installed Holdem Manager I really want to get my head around and understand the HU stats and figures.

So, I was wondering whether someone could either tell me or point me in the right direction of helping me understand what the key HUD figures mean and how to use them / incorporate them into my game and decision making process.

On my HUD I have the following -

VPIP, Flop Aggressive Factor (AF_F), Preflop Raise (PFR), 3bet and Fold to 3bet (F3).

So esstentially what I am after is knowing what they mean. For example - What ranges and %'s mean what. So I'm really trying to understand what PFR %'s mean what etc etc

Thanks in advance for your help.

The stat definitions are here:-

How to use them is a little beyond the scope of this forum. You could try posting here.

Hi Mike,

Sorry I don't think my post was very clear. I know what the HUD stats mean, I would like to now know how to define a player by the %'s. For example what the %'s ranges means. I understand what the actual abbreviations and terms mean I just now want to know so what a PRF of 14 mean, so what the 14 means? And what a FvFCB of 67 means and how to use this information in my decision making process and how to label players based on this information.

So really like a chart that shows what the actual numbers mean. So does a low F3 figure mean they are less or more likely to fold to a 3 bet, what does an AF_F of 1 mean??

Imagine the stat "Raise First". If everyone has folded to you and you open-raise, this is considered as a "Raise First".

If on the Button, you have a Raise First of say 40%, it means that you are raising 40% of your hands (obvioulsy, all hands = 100%).

Generally, a "normal" player raise his TOP 40%, the 40% of hands he like that most. To imagine what those 40% means, you can use for example www.pokerstove.com.

Of course, this is just one type of classification, and you need to adjust a little some hands here and here. In the picture, you can see that 33 and 22 are not in the TOP 40%, but you can be sure that a Button Steal is open raisin with 33 and 22.

VPIP is something like that, if you see a donk with 50 vpip, he is putting money in the pot with 50% of his hands.
