Notes about this version

1) You will need to reimport hands to get old summaries. We suggest you start a new database and since this is an early beta you may need to reimport your hands again before this becomes the official 1.08 release

2) You should always import tourney summaries if you play MTT's. HM tries to get as much info as possible but for most sites it is impossible to get all the information from an MTT through hand histories alone.

Multi Table Heads Up SNG Games (4-16-32) While they report the correct position finish they do not seem to report the ammont won... I've had to go in manually and set the winnings for all tournaments imported with me in first place but have 0 won....

TY alot!

I play hu sng, normal and turbo's. But HM doesn't see the difference, speeds are all regular. You should be able to see the difference in the hand history, there's a line called: The blinds are now 15/30. And with my hu sng's normal which is 6 minutes blinds start at 10/20, and the turbo's which are 3 minutes blinds start at 15/30.

This isn't such a high priority. But it would be nice to see how much turbo's I played and at which I am better.

While tracking the table, when the game was complete...
It recorded the win as 12.00 when it should be 24....

Some minor things i'd like to see:
Rakeback as stat (maybe as Rakeback and Net Won /w Rakeback)
Rakeback in the Graph view
Graph view could need some graphical improvements (maybe even customizable colors?). The Number of Tournies can't be seen.
Remember Tourney Result Filters (for buyin and field size)

Besides that, pretty cool update.

Who do I send an email to with some errors? I play HUSNG on Stars and have 2 that have not recirded the finish position. Nothing major but you might want to look at them in case it is a common problem?

***edit*** It looks like in both tournaments I left before the final hand was completed. You know on Stars you get the warning that says something like "If you leave now you will be folded etc", I thin that is what happened

I get an error (below) on the results->stats tab and it doesn't show the distribution bar graph or any of the other stats that were below the tourney detail filters for my iPoker tourneys. However the filter works for reports despite the error message. For my 5 B2B tourneys everything seems to work. Also the graph is empty when I first go to that tab but changing to by day and back draws the graph. I had the same error with .7 prebeta fwiw

HM crashes when I want to see tournaments before sept 2008. JIT-bug. And when I relaunch and go to tourney tab again it crashes again. Tried it multiple times, crashing, rolled back to the latest pre-public beta and its fine again.

Edit:
Ok: updated again to the new public beta. Still the same crashes, when I click continue its ok, but no tournament is found anymore.

Im now creating a new DB en importing my exported hh's again. I'll update in 1 hour.

Hi guys, thanks for the feedback. Looks like we have one error in particular that causes a crash for some people and a few minor issues. We'll get these all worked out quickly.

EDIT: I think I found the problem. For the people with this issue, do you have a tourney showing a finish position of 0 and it is not marked as incomplete?

Cash game players do not need to reimport but once we add the new hud stats you might want to. They will include things like fold to 3bet by position, more donk bet type stats, more situational stats etc. We have a list that we've been putting together.

Multi Table Heads Up SNG Games (4-16-32) While they report the correct position finish they do not seem to report the ammont won... I've had to go in manually and set the winnings for all tournaments imported with me in first place but have 0 won....

TY alot!

I play hu sng, normal and turbo's. But HM doesn't see the difference, speeds are all regular. You should be able to see the difference in the hand history, there's a line called: The blinds are now 15/30. And with my hu sng's normal which is 6 minutes blinds start at 10/20, and the turbo's which are 3 minutes blinds start at 15/30.

This isn't such a high priority. But it would be nice to see how much turbo's I played and at which I am better.

What site is this for? If you can send ma hand histories showing the difference that would help

The crash people were getting should be fixed. I think it was due to a tourney finish of 0 and the tourney being marked as complete. This shouldn't happen so that is another issue I need to fix but when it does happen it causes a crash in the bar graph draw routine.

Please check your holdem manager\importing\logs folder and zip up and send me any files with todays date as the modified date. That will include all hands with errors and I can then quickly get them fixed.

Thanks Roy, its working now, but got another bug, there are tournaments marked as Incomplete (marked gray).

I think that it is for all double or nothing tournaments (i played them a lot).

Ok, installed 1.08.

I had aprox 100 HUSNGs for this month still in my PS hand history file, so i imported them. I could not see anything about them under the Tourney tab. So I re-imported other HUSNGs from last month, and one of them showed up under Tourney > Reports and select all hands. But I couldn't get anything to show up under the Results tab. So I thought I would play a game while doing a live import. It seemed to record the hands, but showed every hand as an import error. Also HUD wouldn't come up at all. So I shut HM down completely, and played 5 HUSNGs, and imported them after I was all done. Every hand showed as an import error, and I couldn't find any of them under the tourney tab.

1. From what I understand and see, you only need to import MTT type tournaments when you are KO'd early because Hand History files do not display all the specifics of the tournament. Other than that, everything else is imported automatically. Money won/lost, etc.

2. Yes, it will detect your results when you import old Hand Histories.

I just downloaded the 08beta2 and decided to check out the range analyzing tool. I picked the first hand I could find where I saw a showdown to analyze, just to see how it works. In the hand Villain open limps and it is folded to me in the BB holding KJo. Now I putting that into the tool, with my opponents VPIP from that position being 34% and his PFR 9%, I set the top slider to 34% and the bottom slider to 9%. The highlighted hands are reasonable except that appearently, that range has AKs in it which it clearly should not.

1. There appears to be an issue with the multitabling tab and the number of tournaments at each level e.g. I have 70 tournaments when I have 10-tabled (this is fine), however I have 38 tables where I have 8 tabled. I'm not sure how this is calculated, so maybe I am missing something.

2. All double or nothing tournament ITM finishes are recorded at 1st. This seems fine but it ruins the SnG finish position bar chart and trending charts. Is there anyway an option can be added to uncheck double or nothings?

Still having problems with the Table Manager window as first reported here (http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showthread.php?p=13464#post13464). Apparently I'm not the only one (http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showpost.php?p=13473&postcount=51).

To recap : Occaisionally cannot minimise the Table manager window. Only way to apparently solve it is to have the Holed Manager window directly behind it.

Also : re-imported all of my OnGame Sng Hand but I get nothing in the tourney results. The hands appear OK but the Results tab generates nothing.

Entraction seems to act all weird when I play omaha and I run holdemmanager and have tablemanager open.

Things that are heppening.

When I try to type in buy-in amount for game I have to do it real quick otherwise the amount gets wiped.
Entraction table is highlighting on/off repetitively.

I'm having a problem w/ Full Tilt. I played 6 tournies there yesterday but it only imported 5 of them. The one it didn't import was the 55 cubed that I finished 3rd in. When I tried to import the individual file it said there were 2 errors. In the tourney summary, it didn't say how much was won for first or second (but their summaries always do that - no placings for everyone that finishes ahead of you) so I don't know why that's an issue. Any ideas?

Cash game players do not need to reimport but once we add the new hud stats you might want to. They will include things like fold to 3bet by position, more donk bet type stats, more situational stats etc. We have a list that we've been putting together.

Hi, i just bought HEM after hearing about all the cool new tournament stuff.

I just went through my databases and imported around 3,000 tournaments. I am a winning player and have cashed for around $80k this year...my database shows me down $35k

Obviously it's not importing some tournaments. I don't know whats different about the tournaments it's not importing than the ones it IS importing. It is importing both Stars and FTP, however, it seems the ones from stars are the main ones not importing.

I just downloaded the 08beta2 and decided to check out the range analyzing tool. I picked the first hand I could find where I saw a showdown to analyze, just to see how it works. In the hand Villain open limps and it is folded to me in the BB holding KJo. Now I putting that into the tool, with my opponents VPIP from that position being 34% and his PFR 9%, I set the top slider to 34% and the bottom slider to 9%. The highlighted hands are reasonable except that appearently, that range has AKs in it which it clearly should not.

The salmon pink hands are ones you have selected by clicking on the text. Clcik again to clear it... Thinking about it, there could be issues when the form fires up and I dont clear mouse events or something.

Looks as if you dont have a unicode full character set. Not sure why. Maybe I'll add an option to show c, d, h and s and make them 4 color.

You will have to request and import "Tournament Summary" from Stars to get the correct number of people for these. The hand histories do not contain this information. All winnings/losses will be recorded correctly without requesting tournament summaries from Stars.

Just open Stars and click "requests/tournament History" and enter the last # of tournaments you want. Stars will then send an email to you with that information which can then be imported into holdem manager just like Hand Histories...

This is related to Windows 7 beta and subsequently postgreSQL 8.0 due to incompatibility with 8.3.

I'm unable to create a new database with the latest beta version (in fact all of them so far). I get this error message when it asks me to log into PostgreSQL:

However the overal Matrix ranking is detected as an actual table (no objection with that) but the Buy-In for this one is different from the 4 active tables and takes into account the rake of he whole tourney. As an example: If you play a 22$+2$ Matrix, the 4 tables are considered as 4,4$ tables (global prize pool = 39,6$ = 4,4$x9); the rake for those is considered as 0$. The overall Matrix ranking is considered as a table which has a 6,40$ BI with a rake of 2$. This situation induces point 4.

4] Having turbo 22$+2$ Matrix SnGs with 0$ rake (4 x 4,40$) mixed with 4,4$/180s is not really good for management. The global rake is wrong. Ex: I played 4 x 22+2 Matrix and 1 x 4,4/180 and get in stats tab a taotal rake of 0,40... Hence, I think it would be good to be able, in the stats tab, to sort not only by stakes but also by turbo/regular. Maybe adding a column?...

5] If I reimport tourney histories, will it solve point 1 and 2? And if I reimport tourney histories, will it NOT duplicate the data allready in HEM? Atm I fill finish place for MTTs by hand. I guess I'll soon be bored :)

6] As I created a new database for 2009, and installed the Beta vesrion a few days ago, I tried to backup and reimport my DEFAULT database from 2009 and managed to do so but no data appeared in the results tab. I had the hands and preflop cards ok but the essential part just didn't work. Found it pretty hard to do it too with te postgres stuff etc. Any other way to reload my data from 2009? If I ask FTP and Stars to send Tourney histories and load them, will it do the trick?

Are you using transparent backgrounds? I'm not sure what you mean by double-spaced, but I did experiment with drop-shadows - the text printed in black, 2 pixels to right and down in black before being printed again. The idea was to make the text 'pop' over contrasting backgrounds. It worked OK for me - though not as well as I had hoped. Can you post a screenshot?

For MTT's you need to import the summary in order for the tourneys sizes to be correct. The hand history does not contain enough info to properly import the tourney results so HM tries to guess based on different factors.

playing SNG on Pokerstars. It shows only stats from known players, but this stats are frozen while my own stats shown correctly

edit: and after restarting autoimport it shows the last stats of the other players and counts the player hands backwards

I have the same error as mentioned above. However, I get this error when I click on the cashgame tab, tourney tab is oke. I am running the 1.08 beta 2b version which I updated a few hours ago. This error in the cashgame tab might be under your attention already, if not, i can send the complete error message and if necassary some screenshots.

I'll improve the automation of summaries but if you play MTT's then yes, you will want summaries or demand the sites put more info in the hand history although probably not likely that will change

In the summaries this is how it is done - the tourneys get no rake and the overall gets the rake applied.

There are 2 things I'll be adding. One is the ability to tag a tourney with keywords and in many cases it is automatic (Matrix for example) and Two is the ability to create and save somewhat complex filters. Well maybe not complex but you could create a "January 2009 Matrix Tourneys" filter for example and this could easily be selectable. Then, in the Stats section, there will be a new "Filter" Report which essentially shows stats for each filter you have saved. This is something I put into Tourney Manager and it was a really good way of doing it I think.

Summaries will overwite certain values and not others. It uses some intelligence here to make sure that valid data is not overwritten. For example, the last hand time from the hand history will be used instead of the tourney finished from the tourney summary since that is for the tourney and the last hand is for the player. Most other fields will let the summary value win.

The 'edit selected' tab may now have 2 errors:

1. It does not recognise any change from regular to turbo speed (already reported)

2. It may delete the event if you change either of the size and finish fields to numbers over 9999. You can't currently see it in graph form - you can see it in any of the hand views where it shows Equity% and EV Diff.

Good point, I can make it an option. it doesn't actually split the file - some poker clients split the tourney into 2 files but you may have known thatyeah, FTP splits MTTs for each table i think.
But my STTs were never split - only when PT crashed (what happened once a session), but then the files were formated like this "*original name*_1.txt".

I like the bar graph for finish positions on the left. However, it would still be nice to see the exact numbers for each finish position at one glance without having to run a different report. Maybe you could integrate that somehow. Or make it like it is in Tourney Manager and put the bar graph where "Trending" is now (I know it's not exactly "trending" then). Something like that.
EDIT: Just found out the above is only when the window is not maximized so probably just disregard it. My bad.

Also, an option to add rakeback and also the ability to manually add things like bonuses, reimbursements, leaderboard payments etc. would be nice.
Maybe make another tab "Extras" or something where users can manually enter amounts for these things. This would be great as this often times adds a lot to people's profits and this way you can easily see how much total profit you actually made during each month/year.
Then maybe somehow include this in the list on the "Stats" tab when you filter by stakes or by month. Like where the buyin is supposed to go, make it say "Extras" and then just put the total amount to "$" (obv. no finish positions etc ;))
Perhaps put a bolder black line between Extras and the actual tournament buyins (/months respectively) to separate it better.

Another thing. In the Report tab the drop down menu "Select Report Name from List" shouldn't it say "By Blind Levels" for tournaments instead of "By Stakes"? Doesn't matter much but maybe better / less confusing for the newer users.

Still, being able to manually add things would be nice, too. For instance if you make the SNG leaderboard on Full Tilt you get X amount as a prize. This prize will be deducted from you MGR, which will reduce your rakeback. I mean you could make something to enter bonuses and then add a checkbox that says "Deduct bonus from MGR" or something so the rakeback calculation stays correct.
If you get a reimbursement because people got caught colluding or for disconnections or something, I guess you could just enter that into a bonus field then and untick "Deduct from MGR"...
I know this is not exactly tracking the game of poker but maybe also make it possible to somehow account for payments for software / training sites / cashouts so one can really see one's entire profit and bankroll management in Holdem Manager and one does not need to use an Excel spread sheet for instance. Would just be nice to have an all in one solution like that.

For the hand I posted earlier I now have an EV difference of $0.00. Yet verses the short stack I got in with 67% equity and then all in against the other guy with 100% equity. So there was an initial pot of $84.40 against the first all in that I should get 67% of and then 100% of the $102.90 side pot. My EV difference can't be $0.00 irrespective of the outcome then?

Hi, your EV is diff = $0 because when you got it in the result was already decided since you were 100% to win. No card on the river could have made you lose the portion of the pot you were playing for.

1. As mentioned, HHs now stored in sub-directory by year-month-day. This makes it a little more difficult to find/access HHs with other programs (e.g. Wiz). Also, will this make database reloads more difficult in the future? Will the software upload HHs from all subdirectories into a new DB. It might be useful to allow clustering by month only, for example.

2. Creating a new DB with the new beta did not transfer player Notes. How can these be transfered from the old DB?

3. Stats do not appear on the hand replayer... even when show stats is checked.

I don't think he can have the big 3 way pot in the EV calculation when there is still betting to come, as Hero and Villain 1 could still fold (obviously very rarely in this case). In the event of a fold there could clearly be no EV calculation as all hole cards may not be known and the pre-flop equity calculation would be wrong when one of the players doesn't showdown.

It can't be included just in the case that everyone sees a showdown, because hero or villain 1 are more likely to fold (in cases where they don't have such sick odds) if they don't 'hit' the flop, and this selection bias would skew the EV results.

This doesn't make sense to me if it is 0 because the side pot is pretty much irrelevant. In fact if it was checked down with 1bb left then the EV difference would be 77% of the main pot (~229bb). This will obviously have a massive influence on the graph.

Roy and myself were arguing about this. He agrees with you, I don't. Here's why.

The problem with doing the calculation pre-flop is that you don't always see all the hands you were up against. Say you have TT and get all-in vs AK and QQ. The flop comes AKJ, AK bets and QQ folds and you don't see his hand. Were you unlucky?

Calculating pre-flop you would say yes. My point is that you were unlikely (or significantly less likely) to see any hand you beat on the flop, at showdown. Doing the pre-flop calcs is going to make it look as if you always running into hands that either hit the flop (AK in this case) or didn't need to (QQ is the board is rags).

There is an argument on the other side. Say the other guys both miss the flop with say AK and they check it down. Maybe you are more likely to see weak hands at showdown because of that effect. Maybe this effect cancels out the other. Or maybe it doesn't quite, or maybe it is actually bigger than the 1st effect and so you are more likely to see weak hands.

I'd be surprised if they exactly cancel each other out and if I'm right the EV$ diff is going to have a bias one way or another over the long-term. Calculating from when the action stops however has no bias. You get to see everyone's cards from that point. It does mean there will be less hands that are analyzed. Also the ones that are analyzed will have less variance (fewer board cards to come). But it's more important that there is no bias.


Cliff notes: Doing ev calcs before the action stops introduces bias as to which hands you see at showdown. So I don't do it that way.

I can't see anything about this in this thread...

I have some steps hand histories that I have imported and I think that the buy-ins have all been counted while it seems all report $0 winnings. Are they supposed to be supported? If so I will try and investigate further what is going on but it is difficult to find them all amongst my database of predominantly normal turbos.

I can't find a way to filter them out (or in) so my results are affected by some heavy losses that weren't losses.

If you intend to support them I will try and find some summaries and hand histories if this is helpful, although it will be difficult to find the summaries as they are lost among all my other ones.

If you do not intend to support them, perhaps a way could be found to mark them as imported incorrectly so they can be filtered out if desired. In the summary it says:

Perhaps it could detect this line, or mark the tournament as incorrect whenever it detects something unknown where the prize should be?

My argument is that when a short stack goes all-in preflop and is called by 2 people who then go all-in on the turn, the short stacks all-in EV should be calculated preflop and the big stacks should be calculated on the turn and your argument was to calculate everything on the turn.

So, if the short stack had AA but the action went all-in on the turn and one of the guys had a set then you would show him with an equity of 8% and if he happened to hit his ace he would be extremely lucky. I think the short stack equity should be calculate preflop as long as everyone who called him preflop ended up showing their cards. In this case he would have a high equity % in the hand with AA preflop.

If the preflop pushing short stack had 2 callers and one of them folded postflop then the EV would be based on when that person folded and the action stopped.

cant get it to run...i tried all 1.08 versions, and i also completely reinstalled hem several times with deletion of the rvg folder...what is happening is that the main window is directly closing after the startup mini window...1.07 no problem at all. System Win XP 64bit

If you revert back to 1.07 does it work again?


HM stopped recording results for all iPoker SNGs today, at least the ones I played. I had been using beta 2b for a lil while including today so there was no change there from working to not working. I'm sending the offending HHs to support at holdemmanager.

I think I have figured out the problem or at least am on the right track. If you import the tourney when it is over it should be fine but if you import it while it is being played (which you would normally do with auto import) it might fail to update at the end. At least that's what I am thinking


As mentioned, HHs now stored in sub-directory by year-month-day. This makes it a little more difficult to find/access HHs with other programs (e.g. Wiz). Also, will this make database reloads more difficult in the future? Will the software upload HHs from all subdirectories into a new DB. It might be useful to allow clustering by month only, for example.

This was suggested a couple of pages ago and will be done


Creating a new DB with the new beta did not transfer player Notes. How can these be transfered from the old DB?

Make the old DB the default and then launch HM and use the Options - Notes - Export Notes function and then make the new on default and import the notes


Stats do not appear on the hand replayer... even when show stats is checked.

I think this is an example that demonstrates why the EV calculations must be from when action is completely closed. In the example you gave, if his EV is calculated from pre-flop, he will most likely (~92% of the time I guess if your 8% figure is correct) be reported to be very 'unlucky' in this hand. In opposite cases, when short stack does win the hand, there is a much greater chance that the 2 bigger stacks do not get all-in, so the EV calculation is usually not possible.

This bias towards including hands in which short stack loses would create an overall result suggesting short stack is more unlucky than is the case.

Don't know there's too much to be done on the Pacific tables. It seems if the talbe is called "xxxx & yyyy" the hand grabber records it as "xxxx", which seems to be a bug in the hand grabber. We could try and accomodate the bug, but then if/when they fix the grabber I'd have to change it back. Better to ask them.

My bad. You mentioned someone posted a hand in the forum and I didn't read it properly.

The problem with "provided everyone shows their cards" is that there will be a bias towards hands that missed the flop (because the hand is more likely to have been checked down) making it appear as if you were running better than expected.

Possibly it goes the other way if there is further betting, but you can't be sure whether the hands are stronger or weaker given the flop. It is safer to calculate from when the action stops for all players.

Bug report: Multitabling Reports results are incorrect.

To reproduce:
1) Viewing Stats reports by Stakes
2) Change to Multitabling and Click Run Report - Get one result
3) Click Run Report again - Get second result
4) Click Refresh button (in Tourney Result Filters) - Get third and CORRECT result.

Attachments 1 - 3 are the results for steps 3 - 4 respectively.

This only happens when swtiching between those two reports. I scanned through this thread and did not see this reported - so if it already reported, my apologies.

Hands are importing ok and the HUD is working fine. The tournaments show up in dataview but they never complete. My finish is always 0 and the "tournament is finished' checkbox doesn't check off when the tournaments finish.

Okay, got another bug report for Entraction (real one not RTFM one this time I hope):

When I play a table and the player mix changes a lot in a short time (I think that's the reason, but I might've just rationalized this), occasionally HEM will stop picking the table up. Stats will disappear, not even a restart of HEM will cause them to be reenabled, the table does appear in table manager, but table finder does not detect any unattached hands and the hand count for the table shows 0.

Problem fixed in 1.08 beta 4. Also if you use Import File/Import Folder to reimport your archive folders from the last few days it will pick up all the tourney positions / wins etc.

The problem ended up being that Titan does not update the place / winnings until you close the table and by that time HM had already imported the hand so when the file updates with the new info and HM reads it, it skips it since the hand had just been imported.

We have a few other changes / fixes for beta 4 and it'll be out in about 30-60 minutes

Thanks for the steps update.

I reimported my summaries and the results seem right for them now :) Another unrelated issue seems to have appeared though when reimporting...

My average tournament duration has jumped from somewhere around 32-33 minutes iirc, to just over 40 minutes. I checked some individual tournaments and it seems that the total length of the tournament is now being used, rather than the time I was actually in the tournament, which I think was not the case before.

For example, I have a 9 man turbo tournament in which I came 7th but it is listed as having a duration of 43.8 minutes in Data View. Looking at the hands in the tournament in the panel below, the difference between the time of my first hand and that of the last is 26.5 minutes. I think that this problem has also affected multi-tabling stats (I don't know if that might mean the issue is related to the fix for that), as it now says that I have 36 tabled some, and 30+ tabled over 4k tournaments while I'm quite sure I only had a very short experiment with 30+ tabling.

I think that this problem has also affected multi-tabling stats (I don't know if that might mean the issue is related to the fix for that), as it now says that I have 36 tabled some, and 30+ tabled over 4k tournaments while I'm quite sure I only had a very short experiment with 30+ tabling.


Will check this, summaries should never override imported hands in the duration fields so something not quite working there.

Thanks for the steps update.

I reimported my summaries and the results seem right for them now :) Another unrelated issue seems to have appeared though when reimporting...

My average tournament duration has jumped from somewhere around 32-33 minutes iirc, to just over 40 minutes. I checked some individual tournaments and it seems that the total length of the tournament is now being used, rather than the time I was actually in the tournament, which I think was not the case before.

It is possible that there are some summaries without hand histories, but I don't think that there could possibly be enough to make such a difference to average duration. I have about 20k tournaments showing in HEM and I have imported about that many hand histories, while the difference in duration was over 20%.

Does the time column in Data View represent the time used for Avg Duration (and so should be based on hand history time if present)? In which case I think this screenshot shows that something is going wrong:

The only things I can think that I have changed since the Avg Duration and Multitabling stats seemed more accurate are:

1. I changed from beta 3 to beta 4
2. I reimported all my summaries into the database I had previously imported using beta 3. To do this I had to copy them all to a different folder in order to get HEM to recognise them (I guess it wouldn't import because those files had already been imported?). I'm not sure if double importing summaries like this is ok... could that have broken it?
3. I requested a summary from stars of all my tournaments (the ones that don't give full details) and have at some point imported that file, although I'm not completely sure that was when things messed up.



Please confirm that the Time column in Data View should show that from the hand history if it is present (so should be 26.4 in the example) so that I know what I'm looking for and I will try making new databases to recreate the error.

Yes, that is how it should work. I know the issue actually - you basically found it. If you import a summary it will keep the hands but then mark the tourney as a summary. Then, if you import the summary again say after moving it it will be comparing summary to summary and use the larger end time. Will need to come up with a fix for this

hi,

so i played a short session with the new beta (1.08 beta 4) on stars cg 6 max.
stars stats tab says i played 1020 hands hem says 100 less.
i dont know if its rly 100 hands that hem didnt import but im sure there are 2 all in situations which were not imported.

also hud doesnt show up for a player called "/\ggresssiV" (mike said its a known issue).

during the session the hud was displayed on only 4 of the 6 tables for a short period until i restarted hem.

also the position of my hud isnt the same everytime i open a table. its not like its on another seat, but its always like 10px moved either left or right on every seat in a different direction. might have something to do with the way the hud places the stats depending on the length of the text.

How do you guys have all the numbers correct in Tourney -> results->dataview tab? I will have to edit all entries, finishes and $won for my results to show correct. Also it shows some touries as played # 2 or 3. What does that mean?

Example: I played on FTP the Early double A and B. Starting 16:03. But on that date it shows that I played it twice, just as the Early double B. :confused:

Other question regarding this. Does FTP send Email summaries? And if yes, how do you request them?

Really? And you are using 1.08? That message was removed in 1.08 - well it should have been anyways

The reason I am overwriting them is so that people who have an older link will not keep on downloading the older version.

This isn't a huge deal - just recommended if you want to get your hands linked to the tourneys and get your old tourney results.

I've never seen the HTML format... You should be able to click "Request last x tourney summaries" right from the pokerstars client I think. I will find better ways to automate this

We'll be enhancing the filtering to allow for report filtering by tourney, stake etc. TM is completely focused on results analysis and does a few things better than HM (ie one thing is that it imports extremely quickly) however HM tourney support is still improving so you might want to wait and then re-evaluate whether or not you want TM in about a month or so

Multi Table stat is calculated on the fly when the tourneys are retrieved so you do not need to reimport anything.

By the way, I know some of you have many thousands of tourneys imported into HM. Please let me know if you are comfortable with the performance of the results tab. I haven't begun optimizing anything yet and just want to see if this should be a priority or if it can wait a bit

beta 4 and i cannot import. notepad says something about unicode when i save the file. Maybe it has something to do with that...

Just wanted to update on the progress of Beta 5. it should be ready for tonight and will include Ongame support. You should use the RAMDisk solution for ongame in order to stop their client from corrupting the DB when we query it. Also, in the DB's I've received it seems like the last hand is cutoff very frequently and the final position is not registered. Make sure you leave your tables open a couple of extra seconds after you get knocked out

just installed beta 5 and now trying to import ongame-sngs (red kings poker) by clicking on import from folder. hm says "found 0 files to process", but the files are there...

If I install the new beta now and reimport my hands do I need to make a new database and reimport my hands again when the new stats are coming?

I just tryied this new beta on Ongame and thanks for the good work.

I won few 1$ full table SnG's and noticed that the winnings were not correct. Probably begause on atleast 1$ level, only top 2 go in the money. On higher stakes its top 3. On 1$ level winner gets 7$ and second gets 3$.

Otherwise everything worked fine for me.

Just tried this with ongame 5 max. Imported fine, only 2 problems, all the "winnings" were 0 even though my finish position was and is listed as 1st.

All the "speed" were listed as normal when they were all turbo's

You can always use "start menu -> postgresql -> stop service" instead.

I'm not sure if this has been addressed before. Sorting by clicking on the column headings on a report (say clicking Equity % in the hands view part of a normal report) is abysmally slow. This appears to be done in memory by holdem manager rather than reissuing a query to the database, but there's no reason for it to take this long. Just there it took about 7 seconds to sort through 171 hands, which basically means you have a bug in the sorting algorithm.

Any chance you can have a look at this?

Hi,
A buddy has a problem since he installed beta 5.

He is playing a tourney on Fulltilt and only his stats on the Table get updated.
For the others it displays 0 Hands.
The tournament does not appear under Tourney -> Results and the hands dont appear under Tourney -> Hands.

He gets and ImportError:

He is still using PostgreSQL 8.0. Is that a problem?
