OK stars support decided I'm not worthy of a response. Stars stopped writing hand histories, I have the option clicked, i have reinstalled stars, and HH will write the first time I use stars. Then I close my laptop and stars and HM wont work next go around.

Has anyone had this issue?

fwiw I have a lenovo laptop.

Im not sure what you mean when you say you close your laptop while playing?

Anyway is it that the HH are not writing at all after the 1st one, if thats the problem there isnt much i can help with it since HM has nothing to do with how stars write the HH and its a problem their support will need to figure out.

If its another issue let me know and ill try and help

when i say close my laptop, i mean after i'm done playing etc, i just close the top it goes into sleep mode.

obviously this is something to do with stars, I was just wondering if someone has had a similar issue. I read somewher on 2+2 that stars doesn't allow HUD display, so I was wondering if they are somehow reading that I am using HEM and not allowing HH's to be written. essentially

Are your hands written if you play on Stars in the HH folder of Stars?

If you restart your computer instead of the Sleep Mode, does it works?

I tried to fix it for about 2h30 right now... I read and tried everyting I found on the F.A.Q. but I still can't fix it. :(

May someone help me out please?

Like he said, the first session it works. When I shutdown/restart my laptop, it doesn't work anymore.

If you restart your computer instead of the Sleep Mode, does it works?

No it doesn't work

What should I do to fix it ?

I honestly dont know why it would do this but its an issue stars support will need to help you fix, unless stars is writing the hand histories then HM wont work so theyll need to solve that for you

Ok, I've just got an answer from stars support and now it's working perfectly! Waaaaaaahouuuuuuuu! :)

Here's the mail they sent me. I post it cuz it might be usefull to other guys having the same problem occuring :

Hello XXXXXX,

Thank you for your email and for allowing us to be of assistance.

There are known causes of hand histories not saving to disk. First ensure
you have the option enabled by going to the main lobby and clicking on
"Options" -> "Instant Hand History Options..." Then make sure the "Save My
Hand Histories" is checked.

If the "Save My Hand Histories" is activated and your hand histories are not
getting saved to the folder specified, below are some suggestions that
should solve your problem:

1) Change Folder Destination

It is possible that the folder where you are trying to save the files is
write protected (Program Files folder is often protected). To fix this,
simply go back to the Instant Hand History Options and set the folder
to "My Documents" or similar folder outside of the Program Files folder.

2) Your Configuration File is Corrupted

To fix this one, simply go to Help -> Open My Settings Folder. Then
close PokerStars, and in the newly opened folder, locate the file named
"user" (or "user.ini"). Right click on it, and select Rename. Name
it "user.old" and then press Enter to confirm the change. Please note
that renaming this file will revert all user defined options to their
default setting and you will need to reset those options.

You should have no further troubles. However, if these suggestions do not
solve your problem please let us know and we will gladly provide further
assistance.

We would like to remind you that all real money hand histories are archived
and can be requested via the client "Requests" menu or by requesting them
directly from support. If you are missing hands please specify the
information required and we will be happy to provide your missing hands.

Thank you for your cooperation.

If there is anything else we can assist you with; please, feel free to
contact us back at any time.

Regards,
