Hello folks

I recently upgraded to HEM from PT3 and only wish I had done so sooner.

I am trying to get as much performance out my laptop and was wondering if putting my databases on a seperate partition would make any difference.

My harddrive is 230GB in size and my db's look to be around 20GB.

I can resize the partitions with windows 7 without formatting but would like to know if anyone has any experience doing this first and if it is worthwile before I do.

Separate partition... if both are on the same harddisk wouldn't effect performance.

...although if this enables you to easily defrag the smaller partition with the PostgreSQL database more often.... where you wouldn't defrag often if everything was on one partition, there are no downsides having a dual-partition setup.
