If I uninstall posgresSQL do I lose my database?

No, you can uninstall/reinstall PostgreSQL without losing the database.

The database is stored in the PostgreSQL/data/base folder.
Uninstalling will not delete the data folder.

If you reinstall to the same folder it should detect the old data folder so you can connect to the old database.
