Hello,

HM has not been working any more.

Each time I try to open the soft, the first black window holdem manager (initialazing database) shows up and then nothing more happens.

If I try to open it again, I get the mess saying that hm is already running.

Thank you for your help.

This has happened to me, but each time the software had automatically minimized itself and was in the taskbar.

yep right that is what is happening.

Did you find a way to fix that?

Just look in the taskbar beside the clock for the spade icon and click on it to maxamise.

Ok go to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager and right click on the HMhud.exe file and choose send to > Desktop and then you can drag that shortcut to the quicklaunch bar (left side opposite clock) or start menu so you can quickly launch it

thank you for the help but still not working.

By sending a shortcut of HMHuh.exe on the desktop, I can only open the window in which you can see the name of the tables (table manager).

I am interested in opening the main HM window includind stats and graphs and it is still not opening correctly.

Ah i see i thought it was the HUD that wasnt launching sorry. I see now its initialising and then disappearing. Try this please:

Please follow the instructions for uninstalling and reinstalling .net framework here: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=14

If the problem persists uninstall and reinstall PostgreSQL aswell http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=177

1) Make a backup of "Config" in a safe location
2) Export your HUDs via "HUD Options => Player Preferences"
3) Uninstall HM via the Control Panel
4) Go to Program Files and delete the RVG Software directory, or the equivalent for Vista
5) Reboot your computer
6) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/holdemmanager.zip
7) Upload HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate1.07beta.exe
8) Test if it works
9) Overwrite the backuped "holdemmanager.config" file in the new Config directory to recover your settings
10) Test if it works
11) Import your HUDs via "HUD Options => Player Preferences"
12) Test if it works

hy!

i don't want to open a new thread so i post my problem here!
I got a professional version of HM some time ago and it worked! 2 weeks before I moved to bangkok for 6 month and started again playing poker! but i could not open HM!

-> a connection to Postgresql could not be made! Would you like to have HM...

What i have done afterwards was simply uninstalling postgresql an HM and take a second shot just installing them new.
Of course it did not work.

So I have gone through the FAQ tried the following:

http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=177

Trying this tip the postgresql server won't start (it said that it was started but then stopped:
http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/?f=34

and as my firewall is turned off the following link would not work either:

http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/?f=171

what else could i do? please help! Thanks

I didn't think I needed to start a new thread either. I can't launch Holdem Manager either. I keep getting a generic error message that says "Holdem Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I looked at the FAQ and didn't see anything. I might be missing something on there though.
