Hi,

My pc with HM crashed and now I have to re install Windows so ill lose everything. My question is: do I have to save/copy files, like already imported HH, from HM if I don't want to lose my stats & played tourney//hands? Also are there other things I have to watch like license key or something? And is it better to copy HM or do I have to reinstall it again?

TIA

Save the complete holdemmanager installation folder, especially the config subfolder. You will need your key for the new installation, if you don't know it you can find it in the file logs\reg.log.

Also save your folder c:\hmarchive which contains your original handhistory files.

The database is a little bit tricky. You can try to copy and restore the postgresql data folder following this FAQ: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/71/Reinstall+PostgreSQL+Preserving+Old+Database
You need to download and install the same postgresql version as you used before from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database (http://www.postgresql.org).

After successful installation of postgresql download and install the full holdemmanager installer without postgresql.

When this is working you can copy back the config folder from your old computer.

Thanks for your answer.

Is it also possible to use the original HH files from hmarchive to re-create my database ?

Yes,

You can import from your archive folder to reload all your hands.
