View Full Version : HD Space problem with the Postgres

I have 2 HD in my PC C: its for personal uses and D: for poker relate stuff, the postgress its installed on D: but its creating folders and consuming free space on C:, watch this image...

How can i manage this situatuion? Is there a feature on Postgress where i can comand all the data be store on D:? Does window has an option where i can move/delate this folder from C: to D:?

By the way i use Windows XP.

It's not possible to move the C:/users/postgres folders.
But that folder will only take up 5-20 MB of space.

You can move your PostgreSQL data folder to D:/.

Dont think u read my message....PostgreSQL ITS installed on D: but its creating folders on C:, that wahy i send u guys a screenshot of the folders on my Documents an settings folder...Wich i cant cut/paste on D: or delated them.

You can't delete/move the /postgres user folders.
Though they also shouldn't take up ANY space.

postgres
postgres.familiar
postgres.001
postgres.002
etc.


ALL combined shouldn't take up more than 5 MB each, for a total of <25 MB.
