Hi all, I have serious problems with HM few months ago, the first problem of all is some time to time the hm cant import about 25% of the hands, it works well but 3 weeks later the hm start missing hands, this will solve while creating a new database and importing hands again but it is a consequent loss of time, apart from this problem just yesterday I had to be resolved by creating a new database that happens to me yesterday EV shoots down to about $ -2.200 and can not find any hand where there are such losses, I play NL100 so how will understand this is impossible, last night when I closed the session the hm was ok but today is that I have the problem that shows ALL in EV and EV in the reports wrong.

I play at Party Poker, use Windows 7, I have the latest version of the HM-date (as I always do after creating a new database)

Greetings

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Which SQL version are you using?
Do you often (monthly) perform maintenance on your database?

-Try creating a monthly backup of your database in pgadminIII: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/72/Backup+%26+Restore+Database
Creating AND restoring a database only takes a fraction of the time it takes to create a new database and reimport the handhistories.

-Vacuum/Reindex your database once a month.

-Most importantly, I would update PostgreSQL. If you're using 8.4.x now, update it to 8.4.7.
Or install 9.0.3 to port 5433. (they can be downloaded from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database (http://www.postgresql.org))

There is something wrong with your computer hardware / operating system installation. HM / Postgres don't crash regularly on their own.

I dont know what to say,My Pc work properly but the hands import incorrectly and its hard play with this problem.

The database of yesterday still running ok in 10 k hands or more, i hope the update of PostgreSQL fix the problem.

Also run a full scandisk of your harddisk, to check if there are any bad clusters.
Rightclick on the harddisk--> properties--> Tools--> Error Checking--> also turn on "scan for bad sectors"
