Installing PostgreSQL

Hello,
I had no difficulty installing Hold'Em Manager but when it came to the PostgreSQL that was a different story. During the course of the installation a dialog window popped up and informed me that "There was an error with Microsoft VC++ installer" can this problem be gotten around or am I not going to be able to use your program?

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Manually run a Windows Update and install ALL updates.
Including the latest Windows Service Pack and .net framework updates.

Run the Postgresql installer from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database (http://www.postgresql.org)
If you get a similar error trying to install SQL 8.4/9.0. ---> run the 8.2 installer instead.
