Remember Hero's name

HEM3 does not remember Hero's name after you select a new player.

It remembers the last 20 names, but hero's name is never on the list of recent names! I always have to type it in about 10 times each session as a i switch between players

It should already do this. It does for me as you can see here:

Does it only become a problem when the list hits 20 and above players? If you 'Clear All Recent Players' does it work properly? Does the problem return after you hit 20+ names in the list?

My list has 32 names in it.

Hero's name never appears on the list, never jumps to the top of the list after switching.

I don't see anywhere the "Clear all recent players" that you mentioned.


I'm playing PLO cash only. I have no NL or tournament hands in database.

That's the most I've ever seen. Maybe you have to scroll down. Try clicking the x for a few to get it smaller.

Try moving the top of the HM3 window all the way to the bottom of your display just a bit above the Windows Task Bar and open the 'Select Player...' dialog. This will cause the dialog to open upwards and you should hopefully now be able to see the 'clear all recent players' option, or you can try clearing them one at a time with the X button the right as suggested in the previous reply. Our QA/Testing Manager is now aware of this issue and will look into a way to try and prevent this if possible.

When I click 'x' for each player 1 by 1, new names appear from the bottom, The list seems endless. It seems to be remembering every name ive typed in HEM3 for the last few months

That list is part of the actual SQLite database. Unfortunately there is no simple config type file that stores them, that could be deleted. The only suggestion I have for now is to keep clicking the X one by one until you eventually clear out enough/all players so that the 'clear all recent players' option appears again.

I forwarded this to our QA/Testing Manager to discuss with the developers to see if they can prevent this in the future, and see if there might be some sort of SQLite browser query that could be used to clear it manually outside of the HM3 UI until they have an update to fix and prevent this in the future.
