I looked at the FAQ's, but the 7 questions to copy/past don't seem to apply to me, because I can't actually open the database.

My computer recently crashed, kinda. All of my files/programs are hidden, including HEM.

When, I click "shortcut to HoldemManager", I get an error "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable."

I tried re-installing it, but that didn't work.

Do you have access to the postgreSQL folder on the old drive? If not then your database is lost.

Youll need to reinstall holdem manager on the new PC by going to www.holdemmanager.net and installing the full version and then if cant get access to the PostgreSQL folder then create a new database and start all over otherwise follow these instructions if you can:

if you have installed postgresql again then turn off the service by finding PostgreSQL in the Start Menu and using the Stop Service option. Then delete the \Data folder in the new installation of postgres and copy your backed up \Data folder over. if you can't delete then you may need to reboot.

Then in the PostgreSQL menu click on Start Service and if everything went right you should be able to connect to your old database.

I figure that if I'm going to do this as an only source of income soon, I probably should stop being lazy and just fix this.

When my computer crashed (maybe wrong word), it created a new user account for me. I still have access to the folders from the last user, but I don't know how to use the programs. I'm hoping if I post screen shots, I can show you what I have.

The first image just shows the user account folders. When I logon to my computer, I only have 1 logon name, but there are 2 in here. The EJ one is where everything was before my computer issues. The EJ.EJ-PC is where things are saved now.

The second two are just to show you what I have still in terms of postres

I think I still have postregs, but I don't know how to access it w/ the HUD. I think I uninstaled HEM in the course of the troubles though, hoping that reinstalling it would help fix it.

Im Not really sure what the issue is? Youve just showed me the installation files for postgreSQL but these have no effect on whether it works or not. To see if PostgreSQL is running or not go to Control Panel > Admin Tools > Services and scroll to PostgreSQL and it should say beside it that its either started or else it will be blank if its off. If its off then right click on it and choose start and if you get an error the post the screenshot of the error

It says it's started. Maybe I just need to try to re-download HEM? I'm such a computer noob.

yeah, PostgreSQL is installed and running fine so. The only thing you need to get done now is get HM installed. Giving the original error it might be a bad version so follow these instructions:

1) Make a backup of your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder
2) Uninstall HM via the Control Panel
3) Go to Program Files and delete the RVG Software directory, or the equivalent for Vista
4) Reboot your computer
5) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/holdemmanager.zip
7) Download the latest patch HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate1.08beta.exe
8) Test if it for a while and see if it work
9) Close down Holdem Manager and copy the "holdemmanager.config" file which can be found in the backed up config folder from step 1 and copy and overwrite it to your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder
10) Test if it works again for a while

I think I already deleted the folder that I'm supposed to back up last month when I was trying to fix this. I assume since it says config that I can just recreate that w/ the configurations, right?

OK, last question and I'll try to stop buggin ya. It wants me to register it. I have no idea what my reg. key is anymore. I'm sure I still have it in my inbox, but I have like 3K emails, and I don't know who it came from.

OK, last question for real this time.

I found the key, and it seems to be workign fine. The Table Manager recognized what table I was at as well. But, I didn't get the display to open. Is the only thing left to do to fix that overwriting the config folder?

http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=174 please answer those questions

1) What version of Holdem Manager are you using i.e 1.06.04 Beta 12 (not the latest Version)?

1.07

2) What Poker Site are you playing on and does the problem occur on more than 1 site?

PS and FTP

3) We Have detailed FAQ's that explain how to set it up for each site, its often 1 setting or 1 box not been ticked that causes the problem so follow these FAQs exactly and aknowledge that it is setup as per the FAQ: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewtopic.aspx?topicid=36

Yes

4) Check to see if the Hand Histories are showing up in the correct folder. Go to Options > Configure Auto Import Folders and check the location of the folder HM checks for the Hand Histories. Then while playing go to that folder on your PC and see if new Hand Histories that correspond to the tables your playing are showing up. This is not relevant where the site uses a database like on Ongame or Prima.

If you right click inside the folder and choose View > Details you can sort the hands by date modified if there is lots of hand histories. Please let us know if Hand Histories are showing up in this folder or not?

Configured correctly

4a) If the Hand Historys are showing up then skip this section. If they dont show up then go back to the FAQ, they should show how to check the settings in the lobby to configure the poker site to save the Hand History and make sure its sending the Hand Histories to the correct location. Contact your poker site if your unsure to find out where you can set the location of the hand histories to save to. If they still dont show up then try the next step

4b) If theyre still not showing up then please create a new database and try importing some hands http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=146

5) So by now you should have confirmed in answering each question that you have setup the folders correctly and the hands are appearing in the correct folder. Are the hands being imported into Holdem Manager? http://208.109.95.123/faq/?f=129

They are.

6) Have you tried the Table Finder and did it work? http://208.109.95.123/faq/?f=54

Table Manager recognizes the table I'm at.

7) If you open the HH are they written in English, they should be btw?

Yes

8) Make sure UAC is disabled. http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=73 and untick it and restart if it is

HM is importing the files to the database. I had teh wrong folder setup for some reason, but fixed it and they are importing now, but still no display. I'm going to reboot now and see if maybe that fixes it.
