Hi,

I use HM1 as my database to replay hands (I tried to transfer to HM2, but my database is quite big, and it makes HM2 terribly slow).

I tried opening HM1 today, but get the following message: "A valid license could not be obtained. Please contact Holdem Manager for assistance".

Can you please help? I have licenses for HM 1 and HM 2 in my account.

Thanks,
Mike

1. Shutdown Hold'em Manager and update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate_Release_1.14.02.exe
2. Navigate to your RVG Software/Holdem Manager/Config folder
3. Create a new text document in the Config folder and name it LicDebug or download it from here - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/LicDebug.txt
4. Restart Hold'em Manager

You should hopefully be able to enter your code now. Once you have done this close Hold'em Manager, delete the LicDebug file and restart Hold'em Manager.

If you continue to have problems:

Please try all the steps on this FAQ - FAQ - Hold'em Manager (HM1) Poker Tracking Software :: I Can't Activate & Register Holdem Manager (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/24/I+Can%27t+Activate+%26+Register+Holdem+Manager)

If you continue to have registration issues, please send your Reg.log file from the C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Logs folder. If your Windows is hiding known file extensions the file will simply be called 'reg'.

Please create a support ticket via the 'Contact Support' link here - https://support.holdemmanager.com/ - and if there is a forum thread with additional information please link to this thread and let us know your forum name if there are several people in the thread.

Thanks udbrky, that worked!!

Hopefully I can some day transfer my HM1 database to the latest HM. The transfer to HM2 didn't transfer all my hands and made HM2 incredibly slow, so have to keep using HM1 as a database for the moment.

Try importing from c:\hmarchive.

I could try that, but it wouldn't resolve the issue that HM2 becomes very slow. My database in HM1 is huge and when I transferred it to HM2 it only got like 75% of it through and it made HM2 so slow that when you clicked on another tab it took about 1 minute to show it on screen. Basically made the program unworkable.

Did you try a new database?

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and zip/attach your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: How Do I Send a Log File to Holdem Manager Support? (http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/1921/How+Do+I+Send+a+Log+File+to+Holdem+Manager+Support %3F)

yes, I transferred everything in new install of HM2 + new database. I gave up when I noticed how slow HM2 got. Now I just use HM2 with new database and keep all my old hands in HM1. I only succeeded in transferring 75% of the database anyway. I have my hopes set on HM3, maybe then the transfer will work.
