View Full Version : Looking to look specifically at my results betting turned gutters

So I'm looking for when I bet turn with a gutshot straight draw in single raised pots: Problem, most filters are including hands I had an overpair AND a gutshot, or it's a four to a flush board, or I have a flopped a pair but also have a gutshot, or I already have a flush etc., BUT NO, I want pretty simple pure spots with 3 outs or 4 outs.

Cliffs: My hand is bad. Hardly any showdown value. Turn gives me 4 outs (or 3 outs if my straight would also complete villain's flush)

I say 3 outs is ok because if there are two hearts out there and my straight would complete a flush too, that's fine. Just as long as it's not like 4 hearts out there, because that is not a pure gutshot straight draw,

Just to try to make it perfectly clear, hands like this:

Poker Stars, $0.50/$1 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: $44.78 (44.8 bb)
BB: $22 (22 bb)
UTG: $161.95 (162 bb)
Hero (MP): $132.90 (132.9 bb)
CO: $52.06 (52.1 bb)
BTN: $129.42 (129.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with Ts As
UTG folds, Hero raises to $3, CO folds, BTN calls $3, 2 folds

Flop: ($7.50) 6s 8c Kc (2 players)
Hero bets $5, BTN calls $5

Turn: ($17.50) Jh (2 players)
Hero bets $13, BTN calls $13

River: ($43.50) 5s (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN checks

or this:

Prima, $1/$2 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 4 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

CO: $81.84 (40.9 bb)
BTN: $217.20 (108.6 bb)
Hero (SB): $308.85 (154.4 bb)
BB: $200 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8c 9d
2 folds, Hero raises to $6, BB calls $4

Flop: ($12) 5c Tc 5h (2 players)
Hero bets $8, BB calls $8

Turn: ($28) Qh (2 players)
Hero bets $19, BB calls $19

River: ($66) 2d (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $48, Hero folds

Results: $66 pot ($3 rake)
Final Board: 5c Tc 5h Qh 2d
Hero mucked 8c 9d and lost (-$33 net)
BB mucked and won $63 ($30 net)

As you can see with these filters ran, those two cards below include when I already have a flush and I want a pure gutter, nothing else: https://i.gyazo.com/c1695de9ec94080836990f7ae0298ee7.png

Any help?

last: i guess if it's easy looking at spots I was the open raiser as well as if I was the 3bettor wouldnt be too bad. I also think I'll just have to know myself that probably betting like truly awful gutshots, like 43dd on 678hhh Td is not worth it. But my gutshot outs don't need to be purely to the nuts, just the improvement to a really good hand.

Also I imagine a turn bet is better than a check but I want to be able to see times I checked also if that's possible so I can compare them to when I get a free card.

I'm getting close but as you can see this still includes times I have flush draws or even flushes too! https://i.gyazo.com/bc45d7866873154dab26147bbf970cd1.png

and turning on no flush draw or just 2 overcards, 1 or 0 didn't help, and i think i tried setting as both "any of" and "all of."

I even tried choosing every single one but gutters and choosing "none of" and that didn't work. Halp plz.

oh nevermind, I thought I did it but you can still see flushes obv. https://i.gyazo.com/791b3922dcf01e3abb71159735a61b5e.png

hmm wait, no flush draw and all overs+1 or 0 overs shows nothing: https://i.gyazo.com/5520810f40cbfc7f3216f9dc192b04fb.png

but maybe, just maybe, these filters here make it right: https://i.gyazo.com/fa1da6ee5397b706de3f726ebbf6695d.png

look right????????

oh the hands in that last pic do look right but it should be way more than 152 hands. it's a 930k sample when i bet turn with gutters way more often than that. any ideas?
