I may need to reformat my computer. What do I need to backup to save my hand histories?

Please see this FAQ to transfer/backup data - Hold'Em Manager 2 FAQs - Poker Software :: What Files Should I Backup to Protect my Holdem Manager? (http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/2151/What+Files+Should+I+Backup+to+Protect+my+Holdem+Ma nager%3F)

This will ensure that you have your hand histories and HUD saved to import into a new computer, and as a backup to restore in case of an emergency. I recommend you do this at least once a month and keep the last 2 or 3 most recent backups (and your \HM2Archive folder) stored on an external drive and/or cloud storage site like dropbox or google drive.

Please see this FAQ (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/418/Backup+%26+Restore). If you have any problems with that method see this other FAQ (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/72/Backup+%26+Restore+Database) for manual backup/restore.

We stopped selling HM1 licenses when HM2 was released in November of 2011. We stopped updating for critical bugs and providing support for HM1 at the end of April 2014 so it may not work on your/most sites if they released major updates since we last updated it - FAQ - Hold'em Manager (HM1) Poker Tracking Software :: HM1 End of Life (EOL) Common Questions (http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/661/HM1+End+of+Life+(EOL)+Common+Questions)

If you have any problems other than registration there is nothing else we can do since we no longer support this software so you should consider trying HM2. If you have not tried it recently you should be able to install the latest update and activate a new 30 day trial. If you have any problems with the trial let us know and we can extend the trial for you manually.

Please note that FTP/Stars recent rules changes makes HM1 no longer allowed on any Amaya software.
