View Full Version : HUD Not Working on Carbon

My HUD was working fine on stars yesterday, and then didn't work on Carbon when I tried to play a session later. I updated HEM and then it wasn't working on Stars or Carbon. I made a new database and hands were importing properly for both sites, but now the HUD is only working for Stars and not Carbon.


1. What version of Holdem Manager are you using?
1.11.06b
2. What poker site are you playing on and does the problem occur on more than one site?
Playing on Stars & Carbon. The issue is only on Carbon now.
3. Which type of game(s) are you playing? (NL, FL, Omaha, SnGs, MTT)
NL/Omaha cash games
4. Have you clicked on the Start Auto Import button?
Yes. While playing on Stars & Carbon at the same time the HUD works on Stars but not Carbon so it is definitely importing hands.
5. Often times, it is one setting or option that's not correct in your poker client. Please see our Detailed FAQs on configuring Holdem Manager to work with poker sites to make sure your poker site is saving Hand History files.
Upon creating a new database the hands are being saved and imported correctly.
6. Check to see if the hand histories are showing up in the folder that you configured in HM to auto import from.
Hands are being imported correctly.
7. If you think the hands are importing the please go to the reports TAB, select your username and run a report with all filters off to confirm they have imported.
I have done this and they have 100% imported
8. If the hand histories show up in the auto import folders, but they're not importing into the database, please create a new database and try importing some hands to test if it's a corrupt database. http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+%7B47%7D+Delete+Database

Yes.
10. If you open the hand history files, are they written in English?
Yes
11. Please attach your holdemmanager.config file from C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder. It may be just called holdemmanager if youve extenstions turned off.

Make sure you follow the directions exactly.

Pick the table name in the table finder window to highlight it

Left-click and drag the red X to that table window

Click OK

Normally you'd get the HUD on Carbon without the use of TableFinder????

No, tablefinder did work for me. I had always gotten the HUD on carbon to work without the use of it in the past.

Use an older version (if it worked for you with a previous HoldemManager version), or use TableFinder for now, while we look into this.

How far back should I go? I don't remember what version I was using before I upgraded

Ok, it works again with 1.11.05e.

EDIT: Nope. I spoke too soon. The HUD popped up on one table but its all zeros. I restarted HEM and now no HUD is popping up. Table manager has all the tables listed with the correct # players/amount won or lost etc. If I click Table Finder it tells me there are no unattached tables.

EDIT #2: I decide that I would like to at least be able to use Table Finder to get the HUD so I went back to the latest beta and my HUD appears to be working normally. Very strange.

I guess I lied again. The HUD pops up, but it isn't updating as new hands are imported. I had to use table finder in order to get it to update

Please try the following:
1) Close Holdemmanager
2) Delete your existing file exenames.txt, so HM will rebuild it to default:
Delete > \Holdem Manager\Config\exenames.txt
3) Start HM< Auto Import, Open the Table Manager, and test on a single cash table.

Try the table finder again for the first table: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/60/Configuring+Table+Finder+to+Show+HUD

Does it automatically work for further tables?

Cool. How long do you anticipate this taking? Having to use table finder for all my tables is a huge PIA

I can't give an ETA but I can say that is a high-priority bug and the developers are working on it already. Hopefully it will be ready for the next release.

Just FYI - I ran into this too. When I tried deleting the exenames.txt it worked for a moment, but then when I close that table (a micro game I was playing in to test) and opened another one the HUD stopped appearing.

EDIT- Table finder doesn't work for me. I'm on 1.11.05e.

This may or may not be related, but I'm also have troubles with the HUD in the replayer for Carbon hands. It is not working for either FTP or Carbon. It often isn't displaying any stats, and when it does it won't let me open the notes for most players.

Rightclick the replayer in the TableManager window, to check if the correct HUD configuration is assigned to it.

I appear to be having a similar problem on gr88 (which is also on the Merge network).

My hands are definitely getting imported (they show up when I check my Tourney Results page), but my ongoing tables don't show up in my Table Manager window and no stats are showing up on the tables.

I'm brand new to playing on Merge so I don't know if I'm just not doing something right or if I need to change my settings but I'd appreciate some help figuring out what's wrong.

When I try to update I get multiple errors (5-10) that say a lot of different dll's can't be replaced. Is this a problem?

Edit: Nm. I rebooted my machine and it installed fine, I'll report back.
