Has anybody tried

1) Installing HEM 1 on windows 10 ?

2) running window 8.1 with HEM 1 already installed then upgraded to windows 10?

You can get windows 10 here https://insider.windows.com/

I think one of our testers so far installed W10 in a VM and did some basic testing with HM2. I don't think he tested HM1 and doubt any of us will test the combination directly as we no longer support HM1.

I updated from 8.1 to 10 and it doesnt work. It says that there is a problem with my holdemmanager.lic in the folder %programdata%. The file got deleted. My postgresql db is working but hem1 isnt :(
I tried to reinstall but still have the same problem. My next step will be that i refresh my windows and run the full installer again.

I updated from windows 8.1 to windows 10. Its not working. It seems like that there is a problem with the holdemmanager.lic in the folder "%programdata%". The folder got deleted and there are no lic files anymore. I tried to reinstall but that didnt solve the problem.
My next step is to refresh windows and try to install it with a fresh windows.

I am about to update my windows 8, 8 inch tablet (winbook tw801) to windows 10.

Now Fozzy you may remember you help me setup HEM on my tablet, because the tablet did not have have much space I installed postgres on the micro SD card. Do you think this will cause any problems when updating to windows 10?

Thanks

I have not updated any of my devices (desktop. laptop. tablet) yet (I plan to do it next week) but the only issue you should expect (assuming you have plenty of free space) would be the licensing issue where you need to reset your code. See the following HM2 thread for similar questions/issues - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/general-support/530953-holdem-manager-2-windows-10-a.html

I replied to your duplicate post on the forums. Please try not to post the same question in multiple support channels to get a faster reply. This causes us to have to respond twice and we usually have different people working different support channels so we end up spending twice the time necessary to help you which delays replies to other customers.

After updating to win 10 I just cannot get HEM1 to work. Tried reinstalling obviously. There is no license files to remove because they are never even created? Tried resetting the license aswell.

When I start HM1 I get an error window that says 'A valid license could not be obtained...'

The details log says this;

Could not validate license "Professional Edition (PRO-)" in HoldemManager.
Detected tampering or unauthorized removal of secure storage.

Could not validate license "Professional Edition (PRO-)" in HoldemManager.
Detected tampering or unauthorized removal of secure storage.
An administrator must run the application at least once before limited users can be validated.

So yeah, cannot use the HM1 at all at the moment. Help appreciated.

1. Shutdown Hold'em Manager and update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate_Release_1.14.02.exe
2. Navigate to your RVG Software/Holdem Manager/Config folder
3. Create a new text document in the Config folder and name it LicDebug (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11623474/LicDebug.txt) (attached in link to the left for your convenience)
4. Restart Hold'em Manager

You should hopefully be able to enter your code now. Once you have done this close Hold'em Manager, delete the LicDebug file and restart Hold'em Manager.

If you continue to have registration issues, please send your new Reg.log file from the C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Logs folder. If your Windows is hiding known file extensions the file will simply be called 'reg'.
