I'm really sorry and I know there is nothing more frustrating than having issues like this when trying to play. I hope i can help you resolve this quickly.

What is your hard drive model, RAM and CPU? You can find this in your Control Panel - System - Device Manager. Sometimes lower spec PC's can contribute to lagging but that is not to say we can't still improve it further.

Does it help if you try disabling Note Caddy? Open HUD Settings, make sure you are on the HUD Designer tab, and uncheck "Show Caddy notes in HUD." Restart HM2.

In the meantime while you reply with those details I have a couple of things you can try that will improve the performance of your PC in general

Please check these 2 FAQs and try all the steps there to see if they help:
- http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/1011/Software+Security+Problems+%28Firewall%29 - Resolves issues where security software continually try to scan files and processes which can slow down your PC
- http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/3231/Fix+Holdem+Manager+2+Lagging+%28Reports+%26+HUD%29 - General tips and solutions for performance issues

A few other things you could try to see if it helps when playing:
- Try leaving HM2 on the 'Home' tab when playing.
- Try picking a villain in the reports that only has a few hands in your database instead of your hero and restart HM2.
- Try creating a new smaller database with just hands from the past 1 or 2 months to use when playing.

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem, describe exactly what you were doing, and attach your log.txt file -

hi fozzy71,

ty for your help :)

my notebook is a pavillion g6, ram 4gb, cpu amd a4-4300 apu with Radeon (Tm) hd graphics 2.50 ghz, 64 bit

disabling Note Caddy is the same, I have excluded from antivirus hm2, postgres and pokerroom but hm2 use 50%+ of cpu

may be using trashreg i deleted registry keys causing problems to hm2?

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

We do not recommend ever using registry cleaners. It is possible it could have caused you some problems but we have no way to be sure.

You don't mention your hard drive model or speed but since it is a notebook I am going to assume it is a 5400rpm HDD. If it is a 7200rpm or SSD please let me know. 5400 RPM HDD with only 4GB of ram and a non i5 or i7 CPU is below our recommend specs for optimal performance.

How big is your database and how many hero hands are in the database? If you have a large database you can try to edit the hm2 config file to force HM2 to use more or less RAM and see if it helps. I have attached an open office document with instructions if you want to try that also.

Did any of the other suggestions help such as leaving HM2 on the Home tab once started (if you go to the Reports at any point you need to restart HM2 and leave it on the Home tab) or picking a villain with very few hands and restarting HM2 to see how it performs on the Home tab or Reports tab if the active player in the Reports has very few hands?
