Can't connect to PostgreSQL still update from Windows 8.0 to 8.1

Hi guys,

Previously my HEM2 was running very well. As windows offered me to make the update from 8.0 to 8.1 i did it.

Just after the update i tried to run HEM 2 but it was not able to connect to PostgreSQL:
"The PostgreSQL service cannot be found. Please start the service and click"

The retry connection and reset password button give me an error. The start service button is in grey, i can't click it.

I've seen the video and at step 3 " We want to make sure "Secondary Logon" and "PostgreSQL" services are started. ": in the services list i don't have any of these two services.

I did all of the others steps correctly and HEM2 still can't connect to PostgreSQL.

Could you please help me solving this problem?

I think those services have to be un-hidden in windows 8 but I don't recall how to do it and failed at google searching for it.

It seems that Windows might have some corrupt files. Please run this scan to fix any issues with the files or the disk:


1) Click start - accessories
2) Right click command prompt
3) Choose Run as Administrator


Type:


sfc /scannow


Hit enter


4) Please schedule a disk check:


chkdsk /f /r C:


5) Hit enter


6) Restart your computer.


Afterwards, it will either show there are no integrity problems, or give a location for a file with errors. If this happens, please send us that file.

I ran the first analysis and uploaded the report here (i don't really understand it):

For the chkdsk i did it too but i don't know if there is a report somewhere. Maybe you can help me with this.

After all of this, i tried HEM 2 again and still not able to connect to postgresql

The path for data folder should be C:\PostgreSQL\
