When playing on Pokerstars my HUD is randomly totally missing on 1-2 tables. This happens on normal tables, not zoom and has been going on for a while now (+3weeks). Only way to fix it is boot PS and HM both. I usually play 9-14 tables, sometimes the HUD can be working on all but usually there is atleast one table that is bugging like this.

Anyone else have this problem? Any fix to this?

Using latest HM Beta and PS 6 Build 8689

Are you saying you keep your PC on all the time with HM2 & PokerStars always open?
You don't normally close HM2 & PokerStars when not playing?
Or are you saying it is OK for an hour or two when you launch & than the problem starts - so you have to "reboot" them when that happens?

From an August post of yours you are aware of HM2 database size vs performance:- http://forums.holdemmanager.com/manager-general/363721-zoom-hud-ps-1-hand-behind-2.html#post2383982
Did you do what Patvs suggested in the above link [remove F-Secure & Reboot]?

Do you have a very large DB? How large?
Do you only have your hands in the DB [hands you played]?
Have you tried purging old hands [say older than 3 months], vacuum & index?
Have you tried making a new DB & importing last 3 months hands into it from HM2Archive?

SSD or HDD details?

I usually restart computer everyday and start hm2 + poker software before first session of the day.

In between sessions I dont close the software, when done for the day I usually do close everything.

The problem seems to be quite random, I can start a session and the HUD can be working fine - then I can have a table that pops up and no HUD comes on it. And then again when that game ends I can be playing a while with HUD working on current and new tables that pops up. I have a feeling thought that the frequency of "no hud" tables goes up the longer I play into the session, not really sure thought.

No, but have F-Secure configured in a way that it ignores all hm2+poker folders.

DB size is 1192MB and only have hands I played in it from the last ~6months. I havent vacuum&index the db or tried making a new db. Db im using is only about 4 months old so havent thought the problem would be there? Using this SSD http://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-2-5-Inch-Internal-MZ-7PC256B-WW/dp/B0077CR66A

I guess making a new db would fix this problem? Seems nobody else having this either so must be my setup or something. Really frustrating thought given my db is quite new

New databases are easy to make via HM2 & it's easy to switch back to the old database in HM2
You have nothing to lose trying it out!

I have a lovely responsive HM2 set up with an active database 3 times the size of yours on a five year old PC with an old fashioned spinning HDD. But I'm a very basic HM2 user & the only non-poker program I use while playing is internet radio.

REASONS WHY MY SYSTEM WORKS WELL IN MY OPINION
** Check what programs are set to run on Windows startup - disable what you can including those update routines
** Up-to-date software checks for windows & 3rd party [I use Sumo for 3rd party, but I'm aware that it's not 100% accurate so I'm careful to triple check what it tells me]
** Up-to-date drivers. Very important. Especially Logitech Set point drivers & my graphics card drivers. I use the FREE version of this to check my drivers weekly:- Download Driver Booster 2 Free, the most Effective Driver Updater, to Update Drivers in ONE Click | IObit (http://www.iobit.com/driver-booster.php) It's the best free driver scanner I've found & it's easy to use. REBOOT after install of drivers. Watch out during the install of the IOBit program that you read every line of the install screens - IOBit have some good programs but they are a bit sneaky & you can end up with a suite of their stuff installed.
** I have "tuned" my postgreSQL [not using the tuning wizard in HM2 - I did it manually based on the performance tips section in these forums] - this made a noticeable difference
** Turning off the autorate icons seems to make a difference for me
** Don't have notecaddy enabled
** Spent absolutely ages configuring my Firewall [postgreSQL port] exceptions etc - my fault because it took me a while to work out how to get the firewall to see some of the dlls by typing them in
** Turned off UAC
** Made sure all necessary files have the correct properties [admin permissions, read write attributes & permissions] - this takes a lot of effort & I did it for every .exe, .dll for HM2 & my poker clients
** Made sure all poker-related folders are free from scanning including the various Hand History folders
** Got a very light AV that doesn't use heuristics/behaviour style scanning of my system while I use it - this type of scanning is difficult to set up to ignore everything involving poker because it's three interlinked programs on my PC & connection to the outside. Doesn't seem worth it for me because I'm careful what sites I visit & I hardly ever download anything [also I sandbox] - my security is mainly being careful about what I allow through my internet connection & that's all
** Make a now database regularly - around once every six weeks and delete the old one It only takes 15 minutes to do [maximum]. No need for me to vacuum, analyse etc

Many of those free Norton, Mcaffee, Comodo, Zonealarm, Avira, Avast, AVG, Bitdefender, etc, 'internet security' bundles will not work well with Holdem Manager.

Please do the following steps, so we can get your computer to a state that we know will work with Holdem Manager:

1) Uninstall any 3rd party security software bundles.
2) Reboot your computer
3) Please install the latest version: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Holdem_Manager_2_Beta.exe
4) Enable Windows Firewall's recommended settings through your Control Panel, turn off Windows Defender, and add firewall exceptions for HM and SQL - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/1011/Software+Security+Problems+%28Firewall%29#MSES
5) Install Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus/malware protection and update it - Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows (http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/)

Please try to vacuum/analyze and reindex your database - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/5/Database+Manager+%28Ribbon%29#maintenance

If you continue to have problems, try the following:
Try creating a new DataBase and import a small portion of your \HM2Archive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/3091/How+to+create+a+new+database+and+import+previously +played+hands

If the new database seems to work properly, it sounds like your database might be corrupt. This is why regular backups are a good idea. If your database becomes corrupt you can restore a backup and only have to import the most recent hands (that were played after the backup was created) and edit any tournament results if necessary.

Here is a FAQ explaining how to backup your database and all settings in one easy step - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/1471/How+does+Backup+and+Restore+Database%2C+Settings+a nd+HUD+configs+work%3F

If none of the above steps helped:

Please enable the Settings > Feature Logging > [x] 'HUDStats' option and increase the Max number of log files option to 10 so old logs are saved with date/time stamps. You can also enable this before you launch HM2 from the Start Menu - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/2581/Feature+Logging#startmenu

Please reproduce the problem and:
- Use the tool in the following link to send a HUD Report - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/2821/HUD+Reporting+Tool
- Attach a screen shot of the table/desktop
- Try to include the Active Sessions tab and/or Sessions Report that also includes your windows clock and poker client lobby clock in the screen shot
- Save a copy of the original Hand history for the table with the issue
- Close HM2 and attach your log.txt file with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/1921/How+Do+I+Send+a+Log+File+to+Holdem+Manager+Support %3F

With all the above information we should be able to narrow down what is causing the issue, if all the information is not included we will need to email you again to request it.

Please zip and email the requested files to hm2support@holdemmanager.com and if there is a forum thread with additional information please link to this thread and let us know your forum name if there are several people in the thread.
