View Full Version : Missing Stars Hands

I noticed recently an issue with importing hands in HEM. I have been on a pretty good run lately, but my graph for the last week is actually negative. I started wondering what was going on and did a couple trials. Eventually I found that not all hands were importing (appartently over the last week mostly hands I won :) ).

I recently opened a $25NL table just to test. I played 10 hands and only 6 were imported. At the time I was using version 1.06.03g. I upgraded to 1.07 and tried to import the file again and had the same result. Still only 6 of the 10 hands.

I pasted in the first 5 hands below (couldn't get 10 due to size restriction) let me know and I can send the whole file. Note I added a note behind each hand listing whether it was found or not found by the importer.

Thanks in advance.

As a follow up I did play a real session last night. I played about 90 minutes and ended up $49.80 (according to Cashier before and after the session).

The sessions tab in hold em manager shows I played 91.7 minutes (seems right), played 298 hands (seems really low for 4 tabling 6max NLHE for 90 minutes), and finished down $97.25.

Can you create a new DB and import your hands and tell me if it works: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=146

I imported all your hands without issues.

When I start a new database it imports ok, but when I try to update the files to my already existing database it says: 67 import errors

Ok I created a new database and everything seems to be importing now.

Now what do I do? Stick with the new database? Whats the best way to move all my old hands over?

Thanks for the help.

If the issue is resolved with the new DB, this means your old DB was corrupted. You can't use it anymore. You will have to reimport all your hands in the new one.

Yes, your old DB was corrupted. Reimport all your hands from your original HHs. Or try an export/reimport from your old DB.

Are you importing in the new DB?

I looked at both DB's and found out that 2day was the first time I missed some hands. I seem to miss 37 hands from 2 different tables. Does this mean my DB corrupted 2day? :(

I dont mind starting a new DB, but is there a possibility to retrieve all my played hands? The archive map doesnt contain all of my hands... I'm missing aug/sept/oct.

I have noticed that "/\ggresssiV" is perhaps the cause of the issue because it contains a weird symbol, not sure. Can you upgrade your HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate1.07beta.exe and reimport your hands in the new DB. If hands are not imported, move HHs files in another folder and try to reimport from here.

When have you created a new DB? Have you also issue with the new DB I have recommended to create?

We will the rest later.

I created a new DB and import goes fine. (That's how I found out that I miss 37 hands of today's session and this never happened before.) I don't mind using the new DB, but now I miss all my hands played before 4/11/2008, because I can't find those HH files in the HM archive. How can I retrieve those hands?

If you are using HM since this date, there are generally moved here by default: C:\HMArchive

I know... but the HMarchive folder only contains HH files after 4/11/2009. Where can I find my HH files from before 4/11/2009? I'm using HM since august.

With PokerStars, you can ask the support. And they can send your every hands you have played on their site ;) I have do that one time for something like 3 years of play...

Ok I think I got it now. Backup and running and got most of my hands back I think. (Anyone know if Stars will send histories for longer than what they have in the requests menu just to be safe?).

I think this must have been going on for a while since my winrate is now less than it was previously. :( I guess I wasn't quite as good as I thought. Also apparently only came to my attention when HEM was shorting my winrate, not inflating it lol.

Thanks for all you help Al1 and thanks for the great software.

i played with this guy (/\ggresssiV) on two tables a few minutes ago.
i got an import error on those two and the hud wasn't displayed, the other tables worked just fine.
as soon as he left the hud popped up and the error was gone.

I've got the same problem as the topicstarter. Played for about 3 hours today, but only 1600 hands are imported, which means that half the hands are missing.
Also, 42 of today's hand histories are still in my Pokerstars HH-folder and can't be imported bij HM. These must be the missing hands. When I try to import the files HM says 'Found 0 files to process'.

Hi, not sure it's the same issue.

First, can you try to move HHs to another folder and try to reimport from here.
If it don't work.

Thanks. I applied the latest beta patch and created a new database. HoldemManager now imports all hands from the PokerStars map.
