Hi

Short version: please add option "treat 6max party tables as 5 seat tables"

Long version:

I have been using HM with HHconverter with great success on a Boss Media site (Svenska Spel) for several months now. However, the latest update messed it all up and I know have HUD stats all over the place.

Boss media added miniview sometime ago and they all have a preferred seat function that cannot be disabled. This messed up the placement of HUD stats but there was a workaround - I could rearange the stats manually to fit each individual table. The latest update of HM made this impossible since rearanging one table also affects all the other tables.

I have edited the prefs.xml file so I now have a preferred seat also on party however, since the Boss Media sites use 5max tables (not 6max) it doesn't work properly.

It should work if there was an option to treat Party hands as 5 max instead of 6 max when the placement of HUD stats is calculated. Or even better if native Boss Media support was added to HM.

Thanks.

Im not sure if this would work or not but maybe its worth trying. Follow this article and setup your settings to use it for say Full Ring NL (or another one you never use) and save this config as Boss or whatever

Heres the FAQ
http://208.109.95.123/faq/?f=135

Then when running a boss table set it up and like in the FAQ right click the table in the table manager and choose Boss setup which forces it to use the Boss layout even though it thinks its a 6max table.

Might be worth a shot and let me know if it works

Hi

Thanks for your quick reply.

The problem is that the software believes there are 6 spots to rotate playres too when there really is only 5 spots. This was never a problem before the preferred seat option as introduced since I just put seat 6 in one of the corners. However, now the software will try to rotate the players to fit my preferred seat so for example if it is rotated one step to the left, seat 5 becomes seat 6 when it should be seat 1.

Ahh i see, someone else has a similar problem but Mike was saying it will be difficult to fix quickly

Yeah, I think I saw that post but that was a mix of 10max and 8max tables so a detection algorithm would also be needed.

My problem shouldnt be too hard to fix imo since I want all tables to be treated the same.

If I'm not mistaken, all that is needed is an option to change the size of the table from 6 to 5 in the algorithm that calculate the position of HUD stats and this should work for all Boss Media sites (or any site with 5 seat tables) with HHconverter.

You can keep the manager at 1.06 and revert the hud back to 1.05.09 by downloading http://www.rvgsoftware.com/hm/1.5.9hud.zip and unzipping those 2 files over the same 2 files in your holdem manager folder

Thanks. It works for me for now. Keep up the good work and plz add Boss Media Support in future releases or at least make it possible to adjust HUD positions for individual tables.

You didnt need to uninstall anything, you should have just zipped those files into your holdem manager folder?

Install this:
http://www.rvgsoftware.com/hm/holdemmanager.zip

And then update to the newest version to get back to where you were

Do I get this right!?
You can use HM+the HUD and import HH (what converter do I need?) from Boss Media and display HUD stats??
If that is true I would buy this program instantly.

OK I still cannot get this to work.
I download the software, update to version 1.06.01n and copy the HUD 1.5.9 files over the two in the HM folder. Then I create a proper layout and lock it.
The next time I start some tables all stats are messed up!!
What should I do??

You need to rearange the hud everytime you open a table. It is a pain but at least it works.

Cant I just use the newest version?

Have you tried going to table manager, File > Save Positons when youve the stats setup on the 1st table and it should remember for the next time.

The positions will be different on each table unless you pick the same seat.

Yes, but are all stats messed up or only on particular seats? (e.g. the one where you sat before and adjusted)
