Please go to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\ and run holdemmanager.exe directly and see if that works

only thing i can think of is i had to turn of the user controls feature as requested in vista

when asked to restart i didnt at the time, but continued to install (and use the program ok!)

dont no if this is of any rhyme or reason

Please follow the instructions for uninstalling and reinstalling .net framework here: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=14

If the problem persists uninstall and reinstall PostgreSQL aswell http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=72

And finally backup your config folder in C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config then uninstall HoldemManager and delete the RVGSoftware in C:\Program Files and reinstall the Full version from www.holdemmanager.net and update to the latest patch and run HM, only replace your config files after youve tested HM is working first and then copy all your files back to the config folder

is editing the registry neccesary?

seems a bit extreme, im not to bothered about losing the config as i hadnt really got anywere with it yet anyway

Its either C:\HMarchive and if there not there then you must have specified a different folder as this is the only one HM uses.

I presume your talking about where HM archives the hands after they are imported, if its something else then see the stars FAQ http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=147

i have read the faq

ok my hand history folder isnt located in c:// programfiles/pokerstars

mine is under a username/appdata/local/pokerstars/handhistory

when i select this in hm it accepts it fine but i dont no what to put in the archive folder?

thanks

use C:\HMarchive or create a folder and use that, its up to you
