How do I stop hand purging?

Hello,

I´m purging hands from my database and it´s taking much longer than I thought, it´s been running overnight and still around 30%. I´d like to stop the process but it seems there is no way to do it from HM.

My first question is why?? Isn´t it obvius that you need a cancel feature for such a slow process?
Is it risky to stop the process manually? I dont want to ruin my db.
How should I do it?

It shouldn't take so long.
The fact it is, could be a sign there is a database corruption.

Or you're using a very specific purge task for example only purging hands from specific player(s), stake(s) and date range.
If you don't have a SSD harddisk and you're only purging "old hands" it's usually faster to create a new database, and only import the (more recent) hands into it you want.

Killing the HM2.exe process (when the purge process is going on) brings the risk of corrupting the database.
