Hi,

A couple of nights ago my power went out and ever since the HUD hasn't worked. I play Zoom but I have tried it on normal tables as well with no luck.

It just says 'waiting for hands' - HM2 is importing fine and I have tried reinstalling a couple of times.

Thanks in advance.

There are a couple things to check. First, you want to make sure there was no corruption.

1) Click start - accessories
2) Right click command prompt
3) Choose Run as Administrator

Type:

sfc /scannow

Hit enter

4) Please schedule a disk check:

chkdsk /f /r C:

5) Hit enter

6) Restart your computer.

Afterwards, it will either show there are no integrity problems, or give a location for a file with errors. If this happens, please send us that file.

If you continue to have problems, please use the tool in the following link to send a HUD Report - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/2821/HUD+Reporting+Tool

Please reproduce the problem and attach:
- a screen shot of the table/desktop
- a hand history for the table
- a screenshot of the Active Sessions tab and/or Sessions Report that also includes your windows clock and poker client lobby clock in the picture
- Please send a log file as well - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/1921/How+Do+I+Send+a+Log+File+to+Holdem+Manager+Support %3F

Please zip and email the requested files to hm2support@holdemmanager.com and let us know that you also sent a hud error report.

Have you tried creating a new database? If the power went out when the database was working it can corrupt it beyond repair.

Please try to vacuum/analyze and reindex your database - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/1171/Vacuum+Analyze+Database+

If you continue to have problems, try the following -

*Try creating a new DataBase and import a small portion of your \HM2Archive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/3091/How+to+create+a+new+database+and+import+previously +played+hands

*If the new DB seems to work properly, it sounds like your database might be corrupt. This is why regular backups are a good idea. If your database becomes corrupt you can restore a backup and only have to import the most recent hands (that were played after the backup was created) and edit any tournament results if necessary.

Here is a FAQ explaining how to backup your database and all settings in one easy step - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/1471/How+does+Backup+and+Restore+Database%2C+Settings+a nd+HUD+configs+work%3F

You will want to restore your most recent backup and/or import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and backup/restore any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.

*Make sure you export/backup everything before deleting the old DB - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/5/Database+Manager+%28Ribbon%29

I got desperate and ended up uninstalling postgresql. Then reinstalled with HM2. It was only a small DB anyway so It didn't bother but this didn't work unfortunately.

Thanks

Sometimes a power outage will completely corrupt the postgresql installation and not just the database. This is why a good powerful APC/UPS type battery backup and regular database backups are important if your poker database is important to you.
