I tried this before and the postgres settings were completely messed up. I couldnt use HEM2 at all. So I ended up having to reinstal HEM1 just so I could use HEM2.

Is there a way to uninstall HEM1 cleanly, without creating further problems?

You can delete the databases in pgadmin (go to start - all programs - postgres - pgadmin) and uninstall using Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs easily, Forced Uninstall, Leftovers Uninstaller (http://www.revouninstaller.com)

Nothin will both HM2 unless you delete the HM2/postgres db db's or postgres/hm2 folders.
