Well i did a backup of my database using the (Holdem Manager Backup) before i reinstalled windows.
And now when i am trying to restore from the backup copy i got the follwing error message from (Holdem Manager Backup) "error: Unable to connect to PostgreSQL. Make sure PostgreSQL is installed and working on your PC. Holdem Manager Backup/Restore does not support networked PostgreSQL connections."

My holdem manager is working fine and managed to get the settings i had from the backup but none of the hands were imported.

I also tried making a backup of the new database and i got the same message as above so obviously my backup file should be good.

could someone please help me out. thanks

Which SQL version are you using and to which folder is it installed?

The backup & restore utility will only work when you have SQL 8.4 installed to its DEFAULT installation folder.

If you're using a different SQL version (or have it installed to a different folder) use the backup & restore in pgadminIII instead.
