Hello everybody,

I have been stopping playing poker for a while but I came back on my favorite room a few weeks ago. I tried to launch HM1 but there is an issue : the key is not valid !

So I came on my account to reset all profiles but it still doesn't work...

Can you help me?

1. Shutdown Hold'em Manager and update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate_Release_1.14.02.exe
2. Navigate to your RVG Software/Holdem Manager/Config folder
3. Create a new text document in the Config folder and name it LicDebug (attached to this email for your convenience)
4. Restart Hold'em Manager

You should hopefully be able to enter your code now. Once you have done this close Hold'em Manager, delete the LicDebug file and restart Hold'em Manager.

If you continue to have registration issues, please send your new Reg.log file from the C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Logs folder. If your Windows is hiding known file extensions the file will simply be called 'reg'.

thank you for your answer... can you tell me how I can create a new text document in the Config folder? It seems that I can only create a new folder.

I actually thought I had attached the document for you but it looks like the upload failed because the file is 0KB - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11623474/LicDebug.txt

right-click in the folder using windows explorer > new > text document

right-click in the folder using windows explorer > new > text document

when I click on your link I arrive on a white window...
when I right-click in the folder I can only add a folder and nothing else.

you need to right-click my link and save as > and pick the folder mentioned in the first post

If you continue to have problems please send the log files requested via email to support@holdemmanager.com with a link to this thread and your forum name.

+1 to all of what o.p. said, steps above do not work even more so if you are using crappy windows 8.

Sent log to support as well.

Change the folder permissions. Windows 8.1 is notoriously terrible with user permissions. I've seen issues where Windows tells you it can't write to any folder.

You'll need to add these files to the steps in this FAQ:
- holdemmanager.exe
- hmimport.exe, hmhud.exe

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/2561/Set+Correct+Permissions+on+files+and+folders+HM2+u se

The steps are the same, as it is for Windows, rather than HM.

Hiya!

skipped show hidden files section and seeing where it takes me at the moment as I don't have the options in some of those steps.

Still same thing.

Should I revert back to windows 8.0 or reinstall hm1?

Don't switch back to 8.0.

But 'debug' the HM1 software. By placing an empty txt file: licdebug.txt in the HoldemManager folder.

Were you also able to delete the:
C:\ProgramData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic file?

yes i was able to delete shared licenses file, still not working, the serial number is on top of this screen that keeps coming up, Telling you to register it, There's nothing to register as it's showing registered already in account section.

Guess it's not a big deal as hm1 won't work soon anyway as soon as sites do a update but wanted to use hm1 for the report section for something as hm2 report area I don't like as much.

1) Open your Internet Explorer and go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections and click on "LAN-Settings" at the bottom.
2) Uncheck every box in the small new menu and click ok.
3) Try to register HM again.

If that doesn't resolve, try resetting your HM1 serial:

Please go to Hold'em Manager Poker Software - Best Poker Tracking Software (http://www.holdemmanager.com) and signup with a new login name and password or use your existing account. After that, simply navigate to "Upload License Code" and you can quickly add your serial code and reset it whenever you need to.

So HM1 opens now?

Please download the same version of postgresql that you have now from Download PostgreSQL | EnterpriseDB (http://www.enterprisedb.com/products-services-training/pgdownload#windows). Uninstall yours, and install this update.

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+%7B47%7D+Delete+Database
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.
*Make sure you export/backup everything before deleting the old DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/372/Reinstalling+on+a+new+PC+-+Backup+Tips

Sites like Poker Stars, Full Tilt Poker and Pacific will require a separate Tournament Summary/History file to be imported for HM2 to properly calculate the size, places, and prizes. If your site does not write summaries, or you experience any discrepancies with the results, you will need to manually edit the results via the Reports > Tournament > Tournaments > right-click > edit.

You may need to request and import any/all of your old tournament histories and import those to HM2. By default Stars do not write the tourney summaries to your hard drive, so please enable the option in the PokerStars client and be sure that HM2 has added the folder to your Auto Import Folder Configuration.
http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/642/Poker+Stars+Setup

Email support@[yourpokersite].com and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Histories/Summaries.

They will send you an email with links to zip files of your hand histories. Download all the zip files. Right-Click > Extract the contents of each zip file to a new folder. HM > Import From Folder for all of the unzipped hands.

The tournament summaries may be attached to the email as .htm files. Download the attachments. HM > Import File(s) for all of those files. It will probably ask you to search/select your Pokerstars screen name. If the files are sent as .html you will need to rename them (Right-Click > Rename) from .html to .htm extensions.
Example of correct file:
http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/3553/starshtmlfile2.gif

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/117/Import+Emailed+Hand+Histories+

If you continue to have problems, please zip and email the problem hand histories. All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

Thanks for your help, I think since hm1 is no more to just uninstall it, I already am using hm2. I mainly used hm1 as a backup.

Try making this folder:

XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\

7/8/vista:
C:\ProgramData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses
