Yes, I have the latest version. I managed to start HM before downloading it. Now after the download I cannot open HM. Maybe the problem is that I downloaded the newest version while HM was still open? I now noticed on the FAQ that I shouldnt have done that. :o

Try a reinstallation:

1) Make a backup of "Config" in a safe location
2) Export your HUDs via "HUD Options => Player Preferences"
3) Uninstall HM via the Control Panel
4) Go to Program Files and delete the RVG Software directory
5) Reboot your computer
6) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/holdemmanager.zip
7) Upload HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate.exe
8) Test if it works
9) Overwrite the backuped holdemmanager.config in the new Config directory to recover your settings
10) Import your HUDs

Any chance that this is the same issue as this problem (http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showthread.php?t=4669), only that Vista has a different message for the error?

Did the reinstallation and followed the steps, but it didnt help. Same error message comes up.

Can you try running a windows update and then restart after downloading and installing any essential downloads

This did not work either, unfortunately.

This is really strange. I mean, I managed to open HM before when I bought and downloaded it, but now suddenly it's impossible even when you reinstall HM.

Any other ideas of what I can do?
