Where do Holdem Manager put the purged and processed hands? I want to completely get rid of them (save hard drive space) if possible.

Thanks.

Purged hands are moved nowhere, they are deleted in the database. You need to run a vacuum/full to gain free space: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/88/Vacuum+Analyze+Database+

Your own hands are moved to the archive folder after the auto-import. The default folder is c:\hmarchive. But don't delete those hands, move them to an external hdd or DVD

once hands are purged can you still see them in your graphs and stats or is it just in your 'all hands' stats?

They are still in the graphs and stats. Only the handhistory is no longer available.

Thanks netsrak, the hmarchive folder is what I was looking for.

so is it after the vacuum that the hands are taken out of the stats/graphs?

No, they are never taken out.

That's what I originally thought but then I purged a large chunk of my old hands, vacuumed through database management and they were all gone.

In the HM database management?
Odd, seems to be a new function. Thanks for the feedback :)

Yeh I did a full optimization under database management straight after purging some old hands and now I cant see any stats from before that date. However I have noticed that when I go to change the player I am looking at reports for it still has the original total amount of hands that I have played against my screen name.

Did you use options--> settings--> Observed HH Configuration--> Purge hand history options (<-- will only delete the hand from the database, so you'll the ability to replay the hand, but the results will remain in the graphs/sessions)
or options--> settings--> purge hands (<-- will fully delete the hand, and also delete the results from graphs/sessions)

Ok, I did use the settings --> purge hands. i wasn't aware that there was another way to do it. I will be sure to remember this for next time, thanks!!

I need to re-import hands I have purged (time zone was errorenous). I have them in "processed hands" folder, but can't import anything from there. HEM thinks they are duplicates. What to do?

Solved it myself. The solution was to move the hhs from processed hands to a new folder, and then import from there.
