Hi all!

I really need help to solve my problem. I can't filter the torney results, when i try to push FILTER---EDIT i get this strange message:

"Unhandled exception has occured in your application. [...] Input string was not in a correct format."

If I follow with the details this is the entire message:

I am the only user and administrator of my computer, I run my HM 1 on windows 7 and it's a fresh install of the latest version available: 1.12.10b

Clear filters althoug it seems like none are set.
If it still happens which filter are you trying to use?
Is it the same in the cash reports?
Which language is your windows 7? Which regional settings?

Hi netstrak and thank you for your help. I have downloaded and successfully installed the new beta version (1.13.02). Although I still can't use my filters in Tourney ----> RESULTS mode. I don't display the previous error anymore but filters simply don't apply, they don't perform the requested action. I continue to see "no filter" text even if when I enter FILTERS ---> EDIT I can see inside the recent changes I made. Filters seem to work well though in REPORTS, PREFLOP HANDS and HANDS fields.

When I try to open my CASH GAME reports I see this message now: "THE FOLLOWING ERROR OCCURED WHEN RUNNING THIS REPORT: ERROR 42P01. MISSING FROM-CLAUSE ENTRY FOR TABLE "TD"

My windows language is ENGLISH and my regional settings are ITALY.

This is an issue in the database.

1) Please close HM

2) Please open PGAdminIII

It is in the Start -> Postgres folder.

3) Enter your postgres password. The default password is typically postgrespass.

4) Open the databases.

5) Highlight your database.

6) Right click, click maintenance.

7) Run the vacuum and analyze and reindex functions.

Hi again! I've been away for sometime so I couldn't do it immediately. I've tried doing it now though and the problem persists, even after I've completed the database procedure you indicated.

The problem is quite simply but very annoing too: I can't filter my tourney hands by the tourney buy in. HM crashes and I get the same answer that I've posted before. All the other tournament filters seem to work.

After downloading, you should right-click the file, go to properties and click unblock. Then, right click the file and run as administrator.

If a new database does't help you are going to have to try reinstalling HM1 and/or reinstalling postgresql.

HM1 issues email support@holdemmanager.com

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+%7B47%7D+Delete+Database

*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/98/How+to+Import+%26+Export+Hands

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.

*Make sure you export/backup everything before deleting the old DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/372/Reinstalling+on+a+new+PC+-+Backup+Tips


If the new database doesn't help let me know and I can give you instructions to reinstall everything but I expect a new database will solve it.

Hi, Fozzy and thank you for such a detailed answer. I've tried creating a new database but the problem persists.

I would like to explain better what the problem is and to do it I will post some screen shot. Exactly like you told me I've imported only some hands (the last 3 days I've played) in the new DB and thats what I get when I go to "Tourney - Hands":

This could be caused by cultural conflicts in the software. You will just need to reset the culture info.

1)Please open Windows control panel.

2) Open Region-Language

3) Change your region to English (United States)

4) Change your location to United States

Afterwards, you can set it back to your standard setting.

Nope, that did not work. The problem could be that I did not change both "location" and "region" before installing the new version but only "region - language - English (United States)" I have the version "1.13.02 01Oct2013" installed on right now but the problem persist.

And now I have even a bigger problem: I can't remove Holdem Manager and reinstall it. When I've updated my version to the new in it seems that it didn't simlpy update my version to a new one but installed the new one without deleting the old one (1.12.10b) I was using. So when I tried to uninstall Holdem Manager from control panel it unistalled the 1.12.10b but does not uninstall the 1.13.02. 01oct2013 version. Now I simply can't see a Holdem Manager in the list of the programs installed on "Control panel - programs and features" even if I actually have it installed on my computer and it is working, except the problem mentioned before. I've tried also to reboot my PC but nothing has changed.

Please, give me more detailed instructions how to procede on each step, otherwise it is getting only worse!

Latest update: I was wrong, HM is not working properly. Hands replayer is not working at all! That's really sick.

You need to install the 1.13.02 update to your original installation folder which you have to choose manually during the installation.

Step 1: install 1.12.10b. full installer again.
Step 2: install the 1.13.02 update to the same path

Yep, I did it. Not only I can't filter tourney results bu buy in but I also can't use hands replayer on the newest version. I was forced to use the oldest one 1.12.10b

Did you install the update to a different location? When you ran it, was it still showing 1.12.10b?

No, I've installed the update to the same folder, version 1.12.10b has it's own folder but it's inside the main one, that's of the 1.13.02

When I open the 1.13.02 version it first asks me to identify my licence but when it opens it's written 1.13.02. The problem is that when I use this version I cant even see the hand replyer, not to mention about filtering the hands with my criteria.

I've already tried the database think, it's useless.

-1 Reset your serial key
Please go to Hold'em Manager Poker Software - Best Poker Tracking Software (http://www.holdemmanager.com) and signup with a new login name and password or use your existing account. After that, navigate to "Upload License Code" and reset it.

-2 Reinstall HM1 with the full installer @ http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/Holdem_Manager_Setup.exe
install it to the DEFAULT folder.
(which will be: C:/Program Files(x86)/RVG Software/HoldemManager)

-3 Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate_Release_1.13.02_10Oct2013.exe
Make sure the update install to the default folder.

-4 Run the HoldemManager.exe file from this folder.

Hello. I've done exactly what you said, changing also language and regional settings to english (united states) but my problem is not solved yet. I can filter the tourney results from 1 to 2 dollars (for example) but I still can't do it from 2 to 2 or from 1 to 1 or either from 0.50 to 0.50.

At least using the version 1.13.02 replayer is working. Any advice? Thank you.

it can be cured in this way:
Please do this
* Filter > Clear and then Filter > Use for all.
Also try enabling the Options > Settings... > Miscellaneous > [x] Auto apply filter changes to all tabs

* If you still get the same 42p01 error, try this:

1. Note your database connection settings from the database management
2. Close holdemmanager
3. Go to the folder config in the holdemmanager installation path
4. Rename the file holdemmanager.config to holdemmanager.config.corrupt or sth. like that.
5. Under Vista make sure that UAC is switched off or check the administrator settings for holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe, hmimport.exe and dbcontrolpanel.exe under properties->compatibility
6. Restart Holdemmanager
7. Holdemmanager reinstalls and displays some messages and warnings
7a. A new holdemmanager.config file is generated
8. Reconfigure your database connection
9. After successful start reconfigure your Auto-import settings


UPD: Tried now - "Autoapply filter changes for all tabs" does exactly what you want
