Please help.

I just got a new laptop (Windows 7, 64-bit I believe). I'm encountering problems downloading HEM/PostgresSQL and spent many hours trying to set this up before Sunday. Here are the error messages I'm getting.

When downloading PostgresSQL:
"PsqlInit.exe has stopped working"
But than it says it downloaded successfully.

When I open HEM install, I get his error message:
"The following error occurred when trying to open the database: FATAL: 3D000: database "holdemmanager" does not exist."

Please help!

This doesn't seem to be a download problem. Those problems are usually installation problems.

Please try to download and install Postgresql 8.4 from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database (http://www.postgresql.org).

If that fails try this version: PostgreSQL: File Browser (http://www.postgresql.org/ftp/binary/v8.2.20/)

Please try to install Postgresql to a different partition like d: or a different folder like c:\postgres too.

This doesn't work. I've already tried downloading both. I'm just very confused and upset that this is taking so much work. As I said before, this is a brand new laptop, so there really shouldn't be any issues. I would think this issue comes up often than. Can you help? Best, Roger
