I recently reinstalled HM1 and my real player stop working. when I double click on a hand nothing happens.
Also, when starting import I get a message that card0 file is missing (twice)
so obviously I did something wrong.
Other then that everything works fine

Have the latest oct build.

Thanks

It sounds like you installed the software with a patch/update file instead of a setup file.

I would suggest a clean reinstall:

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/126/Using+Revo+Uninstaller+

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/99/Reinstalling+HEM+without+Losing+Preferences+

1) Export any custom HUD configs individually, make a backup of your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder, and any other important files. If you have custom filters/reports/stats, just copy the entire \holdem manager folder before uninstalling.
2) Uninstall HM with Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs easily, Forced Uninstall, Leftovers Uninstaller (http://www.revouninstaller.com) using the Deep setting. You do not need to uninstall PostgreSQL.
3) If given the option, on the 2 following screens of Revo, remove any registry entries and leftover files. If you have Holdem Manager 2 installed do not delete any folders in C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager. If Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\Application Data\HoldemManager.
4) Reboot your computer
5) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Holdem_Manager_Setup.exe. You should un-check the PostgreSQL Option when running the combo installer.
6) Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate_Release_1.13.02_10Oct2013.exe
6) Test if it for a while and see if it works

weird, Revo doesn't see HEM 1. I can see it when choosing uninstall from the control panel.
I guess I'll uninstall from there and proceed normally?

Yes, it can't see it because it wasn't installed with a full setup file. Just use the windows control panel and reinstall it.

Getting weirder. Unistalling via control panel simply removed it from the list but didn't do anything else. The program is still on my HD and still run.
FWIW I uninstalled it the first time via Norton Anti virus that claim there was a problem with it (should have ignored it probably)

So now what?

Delete the leftover files manually and install it again with the full setup file. Installing over the files would probably be sufficient but it is best if you can do a clean install.

It is also possible that Norton is causing some of these problems so you might want to try uninstalling it to be sure it is not conflicting.

Many of those free Norton, Mcaffee, Comodo, Zonealarm, Avira, Avast, AVG, Bitdefender, etc, 'internet security' bundles will not work well with Holdem Manager.

Please do the following steps, so we can get your computer to a state that we know will work with Holdem Manager:

1) Uninstall any 3rd party security software bundles.
2) Reboot your computer
3) Enable Windows Firewall's recommended settings through your Control Panel, turn off Windows Defender, and add firewall exceptions for HM and SQL - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/275/Windows+Firewall+%7B47%7D+Defender+Problems
4) Install Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus/malware protection and update it - Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows (http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/)

Its not a free Norton version. Its Norton internet security.
Anyway, I had loads of virus warning and did a deep scan and it recommended to remove HEM. It seemed to claim it will only remove the Shortcut to HEM so I allow it, but it did a full reinstalling of it.
btw, that didn't really help to the virus warning, but it kind of stopped by it self a while later (was this cloud9 warning if that means anything)

Thanks for all the help.

Just because you paid for NIS doesn't mean it won't cause problems. Some of these security programs are overly zealous about our program due to the way we 'hook' in to poker clients. If uninstalling it doesn't solve your problems you can reinstall it later but many customers have found they have to leave NIS uninstalled if they want to use our software.

Update : I decided just to reinstall without deleting anything. And all seems to be fine now.

Thanks for all your help.
